Synopsis

Enchanter is a concept of elite specialization for the Mesmer. They can wield Hammers and gain access to Spirit Weapon utility skills. They can transform themself and their clones into weapons, and create enchanted weapons. They also gain bonuses on weapon swap.

Hammer is 2-handed melee weapon intended for crowd control and AOE damage.

Enchanted Weapons are floating objects that can be touched when moved into. It will disappear when you or a player ally touches it, granting that player a boon depending on type of enchanted weapon. For example, enchanted sword grants might and vigor.

Enchanter gets a new shatter that transforms you and your clones into floating weapons identical to what you're wielding. Your weapon skill bar will be replaced with three new skills depending on weapon equipped during transformation. The third skill of each weapon will merge you and your clones into a gigantic weapon with devastating attack. For instance, you can transform into a giant hammer that knocks down 10 enemies.

While interesting, the form of this e-spec will face the same issue than the chronomancer. You've basically added an F5 without any trade-off and over the years this kind of e-spec would be slowly cut down with various nerfs until it become a bother to play.

Instead of the F5 I'd suggest you to replace F1-F2-F3-F4 with a summon weapon that suit their nature as skills. For example (I'm making it an off-hand just to be slightly different):F1: Mind blade: For 10 second you equip an illusory sword and your clones transform into illusory swords giving you access to the 2 skills related.

  • Skill#4: You and your illusory swords slash at your foe dealing damage. CD: 20s
  • Skill#5: You and your clones merge into a giant sword and cut your foes. CD: 30s

F2: Mind wand: For 10 second you equip an illusory wand and your clones transform into illusory wands giving you access to the 2 skills related.

  • Skill#4: You and your illusory wands shoot confusing beam at your foe. CD: 20s
  • Skill#5: You and your clones merge into a giant wand, applying torment and confusion to nearby foes. CD: 30s

F3: Mind club: For 10 second you equip an illusory club and your clones transform into illusory clubs giving you access to the 2 skills related.

  • Skill#4: You and your illusory clubs daze your foe. CD: 20s
  • Skill#5: You and your clones merge into a giant hammer and knockdown 10 foes. CD: 30s

F4: Mind shield: For 10 second you equip an illusory shield and your clones transform into illusory shields giving you access to the 2 skills related.

  • Skill#4: You and your illusory shield bash at your foe dealing damage. CD: 20s
  • Skill#5: You and your illusory shield merge becoming invulnerable for a few second and shielding allies around you. CD: 30s.

Here, the drawback is that you lose the shatter but the shatter bonus of the traits can be given to the skills gained.
