If only I can mix and match with other armor... outfit not even allow me to wear other head gear.

  • UW exploration
    UW UI system
New Elite Specs with Ele getting Longbow or a better/faster 1200+ range wep
Customizable Home better than home instance currently
No more transmutation charges needed ever again!
New Legendary Armor and not tied to raids
    6th race and class

Player housing that combines elements of guild halls and home instances. Bank, vendors, nodes, etc. I want to place all of my home instance nodes where I want them and have more control over decoration placement. I would also like to be able to rotate and resize decorations.

The ability to work towards every infusion in the game.

    Gen 3 legendaries

A legendary armory that isn't monetized out the wazoo.

An unlimited flight mount that is FAST, like a jet. Maybe make us do full exploration on each map to unlock the ability to use it on said map.

Mercenaries (including letting us hire our alts)

    In this order:

-1. Player housing (huge and well rounded. Not too grindy and easly accesible.)

-2. A Golemancer elite specialisation, focus on support and maybe condi damage, using a staff, for the engineer. (I know, I know, but a small Asura can dream.)

-3. Big and beautifull open world map. (With a lot of attention to detail, a lot of jumping puzzle, some secret hidden away. If possible good side quest)

same i'd want player housing or smaller guildhalls for people with guilds that have <15 people. the current guild halls are too huge if your guild isn't a 300+ person guild that runs full squads once a week for guild missions.

but yeah i'd want housing for my character too, the home instance doesn't feel like home since my character doesn't actually have a house or a room/space there claimed as their own property

that and new hairstyles, new professions/classes, new elite specialisations

For the story I would enjoy some more light-hearted/funny moments. I liked these parts in the PoF story (for example when talking to scholar Nimmin).

POF made me quit GW2 for the first time since launch 2012.. If there's hearts on the maps again like POF, I won't be coming back to GW2 for this expansion. But I still might not since mounts are a thing now and ruined the game.

  • Tukaram.8256Tukaram.8256 Member ✭✭✭

More hearts on the map. I do not like maps without them. But I do not want to have to do them again every time I want to use the vendor - that was a horrid addition.
Really I just want Cantha and some cool new critters to fight. The only thing on my wish list would be Heroes, but I doubt that will happen.

    • New playable race at last? Tengu?
    • Remove armor class restrictions for greater customization of looks. Just tie the light|medium|heavy stats to your profession based on rarity of the worn pieces, and you can have all sorts of looks with mix and match of light, medium and heavy armor.
    • Open world zone with faction-based PvP elements in addition to PvE story... e.g. think Fort Aspenwood with players split balanced in 2 factions (mini wvw to sway the story?)
    • New elites (obviously)
    • 3 new professions, one for each archetype? Not just new elites for the old professions, but three entirely new professions?
    • Pistols for my guardian :D

    Northerner @ Dragon Season
    Seafarer's Rest since launch!

  • jsp.6912jsp.6912 Member ✭✭✭

i think, no chance there is a new class, because if new class they need to do 3 elite spec for it, there are 3 heavy, 3 medium and 3 light, it's enough

The minimum I expect to see on launch with End of Dragons follows. All of this is finished content, none of it feeling rushed-to-release, and none of it requiring Gemstore pay-to-unlock. I expect these features to be included in the purchase price of the expansion:
    1) WvW Alliances
    2) fully-featured and fully-unlocked Legendary Armoury
    3) 9 new elite specializations
    4) An engaging story with useful masteries and the same amazing quality of map design

What I DO NOT want to see:
    a) Level cap increase
    b) Player housing (I do not want to be part of a game where people spend all day inside their homes, doing nothing with the rest of the server)
    c) Gear level increases

What I would like to see, but do not consider as a minimum requirement:
    1) A new generation of legendary weapons
    2) Underwater combat
    3) Much more dev focus on competitive game modes and balance thereof (sPvP and WvW) including new WvW events and new PvP modes & maps
    4) A focus on cleaning up / bug-fixing / rebalancing / repurposing "old content" including Edge of the Mists, Dungeons, Raids, Fractals, open world, legendary weapon collection bugs, Living World Season 2, 3 and 4 content which is undoable with low map populations, etc.

    ... New race ...

I think this is very unlikely, since it'd mean they had to adapt all the existing armor pieces and outfits for the new race. This would probably cost them millions of dollars.

But if they indeed create a new race, I just hope that for Heaven's sake it's not Kodan or Quaggan! Those wise-kitten wannabe Kung Fu master philosophers are just annoying to no end. And don't get me started on those morbidly obese fish with the personality of a 5 year old child! They are so cuuuute that they make me want to use my shotgun on my monitor when I have to deal with them. ANET, I swear, if you have us defeat the Deep Sea Dragon by replacing it with Slooshoo I will personally show up at your HQ with a torch and a pitchfork!

What I'd like to see in EoD:

    • one new espec per class
    • 8+ cool new maps
    • difficulty like HoT, in some places difficulty above HoT
    • mob aggro range as in pre-PoF
    • new weapons
    • some new metas as cool as those in HoT maps

    @jokke.6239 said:
Open world dungeons and world bosses

    • ^^This. Though I deem it unlikely as well, since they seem to have abandoned both of these concepts

What I realistically expect to see in EoD:

    • one new espec per class
    • 4 - 6 cool new maps
    • difficulty like PoF
    • mob aggro range like PoF
    • no new weapons
    • new facial options for humans (Asian appearance)
    • 2 new complete armor sets

What I would absolutely hate to see in EoD:

    • Kodan or Quaggan as playable race
    • Heroes/Henchmen
    • gear tier with stats above Ascended
    • Reworked core professions, so they can match these from HoT and PoF. Possible only at 80lvl: new weapon and set of skills.
I'm not sure about elite specs, because they need a lot of balance. I don't want guardian to fill another role, because soon there will be only guardians in this game. Power/condi DPS, Heal, Boon support + quickness is enough.

    • New maps, but please make them interesting so we can stay there for longer.

    • Difficulty level from Drizzlewood Coast. Difficulty level should be based on mechanics (dodging mobs, conditions, blind, CCs...), not just high numbers.
    • New legendary weapons!
    • And new raids.

Master of garbage builds and being useless.

    1. Some WvW love.
    2. Some more PvP love, more balance patches etc. Maybe a new mode.
    3. New fractals, raids.
    4. New especs.

I don't want any new mechanics to be honest, just add more existing stuff and show some love to old game modes.

I want to be able to carry a passenger on the skyscale.

  • Since i expect canthan maps to be gorgeous I'd really want some major improvement in the games performance. Retroactively tweaking the performance seems to be a difficult task but it will just be more work the longer they wait. DirectX 12 support and better resource efficiency sounds like a great feature for an expansion to me. Or atleast the release of an expansion would be a great opportunity to implement such features.

Other then this i agree with what most people already said: new elite specs, hopefully a new race, obviously more armor and weapon sets.

    Hello!

So we all know that a new expansion has been released but there is still no details regarding new content so my question is... what would you like to see?

Personally I would love to see Player Housing in Guild Wars 2 and that system is already in game since we have guild halls. Fingers crossed for that!

    What about you?

Something that works. Seriously. One, relatively small patch and it was borked from release. How can we be sure the new expansion isn't just going to blow up?

I agree with this they need to improve performance asap, the engine is so outdated it needs to be addressed. Maybe something wow did perhaps, upgrading graphics and performance and making new maps run better.

I want the game to run smoothly without lag. smile

Other than that, I can't see how they would add new elites. They only have so many weapons in game.
    Ranger - rifle - hunter
    Warrior - hand/hand - monk
    Necro - ? - cipher (soul manipulator)
    The rest, who knows.

Housing is only fun if it's done correctly, more akin to Wildstar than ESO. ESO housing really isn't good.
Fishing, why? Waste of resources for something most people won't do. They should spend those resources to make the PvP people happy for the brief time they will be happy before they start to kitten.

  • *less ugly character management UI - right now it is not very transparent or friendly, everything feels clumped up
*better game optimization - the near slide show during large player gatherings has to go, I shouldn't have to lower graphics setting from ultra to low, just to hit 60 fps ( want to play this game at smooth 2k resolution.
*much more difficult pve content, everything right from level 60 and up needs to hit harder and have more hp.

    • New elite specializations
    • Dyeable legendary weapons
    • All dyeable backpacks
    • A new breed
    • A new class
    • New mounts, not skills for existing mounts. I thought of a kind of Jade Dragon with its floating and flexible body, its ability could become invisible for a certain time. I thought of some kind of mount whose skill could be climbing.
With that they could create maps or specific locations that require the use of these new mounts. They could create super tall mounts that would be impossible for any other mount to reach and that would require the climbing mount. In the same way they could create specific locations where it would require the invisible ability of the "Jade Dragon" to be able to cross without being rigidly killed by horrible monsters or presence-detecting traps.
I need to draw these ideas on paper! Haha
  • More WvW.
    More PvP.
    New fractals.
    New Raids.
    New especs.
    Less Fashion Wars 2
    Less Farming Wars 2
    Less Inventory Wars 2
    More Endgame content
Less PVE focus because this game has the best combat system in current MMOs and Anet makes us spam only one skill in playing it

Why do you think mounts ruined the game?

They did for me. I always enjoyed the speed and pace of exploration of Tyria in the base game. Your feet were always on the ground and it was centered around your character and his/her abilities. Gliders were a welcome addition. They didn't so much meddle with things too much, and only opening up more options when exploring. But mounts completely change the speed and pace of how we explore the maps, and further add to the mindset of rushing through everything (im more of the -slow down and smell the flowers- type, when it comes to exploring in my games).

And it's not like I can simply opt out of using them because then I'll just fall behind as everyone will rush past me and reach events faster than I can. The flying mounts are the worst of all. Try a google search on what the addition of flying mounts did for World of Warcraft. Ideally mounts should have been constrained to the POF maps only so that they could be optional. Except instead, this new Meta is forced on everyone and trivializes base game maps. Nothing makes me wish GW2 was a single player game more than mounts do.

Alliances, Balance, and Bug Fixes for what we already got. All jokes aside I'm not joking that is really what I would like to see. I've never seen any point to adding more variables to the equation because the problem only gets more complicated to solve.

There is a 50% chance you will not agree with me and a 50% chance I will not agree with you

In the real world, hobby fishing is all about grinding out luck, collecting gear and pretending to be skilled. I don't know where it would fit within the mmo genre. I will give it a try but I know my idea will be terrible.

Where to fish is a real concern for Tyria fishing. Perhaps we can solve why fish and where to fish by making fishing a mounted skill set and we fish to feed our mounts. Our mounts take us to fishing holes based on their skills and diet. We would have to learn how to fish for carrots. Which is where my idea falls apart. Dumb can't be fun.

There are other fishing risks. Fishing leads to fish. Fish are a gateway reward to taxidermy and we all know what taxidermy wants. Taxidermists and Housing!

edit: Consumable effects could provide a social component. They could alter mount animations, add temporary auras, or cause events. Skyscales burp up fireworks. Jackals hiccup phase jump about. Roller beetles have heart burn outs. Skimmers get the dizzies. The effects would encourage fishing to lead to large public displays.

i've been fishing in litterally any other mmo i ve been playing. it's gw2 the exception

  • So many good ideas in this topic.

  • Hello guys! I would like to share two idols of mounts that I thought about today. I managed to make a simple sketch of the two. I think it would be something very new and interesting in Guild Wars 2, as they are different skills that we have not yet been able to experience within the game.

Well, the first is an insectoid, I made it with eight legs and very similar to a giant spider. I found it interesting because this mount would have as its main skill climbing on extremely vertical and smooth walls. She would have appropriate feet to grab and stick to structures and climb, not to mention the resistance she would also have to support a weight on her back. It would also have an appropriate seat for the character to sit on and not have the displeasure of falling when the mount is completely in a vertical position of the structure. With that, the game could invest in maps and / or places where it would require a lot of this exclusive mount to reach the top, because we know that until now the springer needs a horizontal structure to get the momentum and climb, the skyscale despite being the more efficient, likewise has its limit.

The second would be more beautiful and elegant, as it would be a kind of oriental dragon whose skills would be fluctuation, speed and the main thing would be stealth for a few seconds. Thus, the game could invest in unexplored and very risky locations for any character to step on. It could create caves or even palaces filled with many traps that detect any physical presence.
In this way, this mount would enter the scene using its stealth ability to be able to carry out the course in a calm and safe way. Her fluctuation could differentiate a little from the skimmer, so the jade dragon could remain stabilized at a higher height than the skimmer. This mount could be lighter and therefore it would be able to remain fixed at a height twice the height that the skimmer is when it is summoned.

  • Tengu playable race, fully customizable.
