Inguz.6493
I do not see the logic behind it. My logic says that it should cost half because you need two to fill an action bar? It seems dual wielding specs get shafted this way, in particular if off-weapon is also dual wield. Maybe there's something else to it?
VAHNeunzehnsechundsiebzig.
maybe because one handed weapons give you more options so are potentially more powerful?besides, who cares about vendor prices? you craft anyway.

VAHNeunzehnsechundsiebzig.
and again, two 1h weapons give you more option, so are more powerful - and as such deserve to be more expensive.
Greener.6204
The costs are not always the same. Take dungeon weapons for example. The 1h weapons cost 300 tokens and give you 3 weapon skillsThe off-hand weapons cost 210 tokens and give you 2 weapon skillsThe 2h weapons cost 390 tokens and give you 5 weapon skillsSo a 1h plus off-hand combo costs ~500 tokens for your 5 skills. You get ~20% discount for a 2h weapon but lose flexibility.
Leablo.2651
Historically, one-handed sets had access to two sigils while a two-handed weapon only had one; that may have been a factor for weapon pricing in core since things like dungeon and cultural weapons come with a sigil. In the current day there's really not a good reason for it. It's just how it is. On the other hand, the gear itself doesn't really matter now, more often than not it's just a glorified skin offering some return as salvage or precursor gambling, and you're expected to buy the entire set regardless.
