More nerf with no compensation on Core Engineer:

Engineer:

  • Mortar Shot: Reduced power coefficient from 1.0 to 0.85 in PvP only.
  • Poison Gas Shell: Reduced power coefficient from 1.0 to 0.5 in PvP only.
  • Endothermic Shell: Reduced power coefficient from 1.0 to 0.5 in PvP only.
  • Flash Shell: Reduced power coefficient from 1.0 to 0.5 in PvP only.
  • Hard Light Arena: Increased cooldown from 30 seconds to 50 seconds in PvP only.
  • Emergency Elixir: Increased cooldown from 60 seconds to 100 seconds in PvP only.
  • Transmute: Increased cooldown from 60 seconds to 100 seconds in PvP only.
  • Bomb (Bomb Kit Skill 1): Reduced power coefficient from 1.2 to 0.85 in WvW only.

About Holosmith...Time to rework HLA or switch Protection or all boons for another thing?

Exactly, it's 70% of previous value. But considering other damage sources were not touched, bomb scrapper is going to do 75-80% damage compared to before.

Add stealth, AoE superspeed and decent condi cleanse.Power scrapper is still too far from being out of dps meta. Just that now bomb version isn't as ridiculously af broken as it was.

im ok with the changes except mortar and bomb kit Auto attack nerfmortar is getting all the status shots damage nerfed why nerf the damage projectile's damage too ? at least buff the projectile travel speed i guessbomb is a melee weapon and it has a delay so at least remove the atack delay on the 1 skill so it compares to other melee weapons

Just a funny thing I just realized... Hammer has an Explosion now, making it THE ONLY weapon on engineer that has an Explosion skill. Basically, Hammer is the only weapon that interacts on its own with Explosives, a core trait line... Is that the moment we can officially start calling core engineer "A worse Scrapper" and treat Scrapper as base line?(blah blah blah Harpoon Gun. Nobody cares about underwater)

How about we switch Tools and Scrapper in terms of elite spec? Hammer, gyros, F5 and barrier generation become a baseline as our profession mechanic, our profession is now called "Scrapper", and and if we choose "Tools" we loose access to hammer, F5 becomes dependent on our elite skill?

mortar kit still hits pretty hard, it's not bad at all. if anything, engi needs a bit more shaving in terms of explosive entrance. Of course currently, there are more overperforming things that need attention right now, but it's still an issue if left untouched. this is what happened to the recent iteration of prot holo before HLA got nerfed, something i was screaming about a while ago that nobody listened to me about.
