Do Not Sell on TP right now!

If you sell items, they will disappear, you will get no gold, no items, and no history of the sale happening.

Stay away from listing stuff on the TP until Anet has looked into this!!

  • Buying items seems to work (you actually get the items) but selling items results in them, the transaction, and the gold completely disappearing for you. Verified with multiple items, both listing (the first time I found this) and now direct sales to highest buying price as well.

    Your items will be thrown in the void ;).

  • I came here to report exactly the same thing, buying is fine, selling I lost my items and no gold.

  • Some other players have tried for me and some reported functional sales, while others report their items going missing as well with no gold in return or transaction history. So this seems to only affect some accounts (but all their sales).

    Sold several cheap rares and got gold on TP, but will wait for now, until it's officially confirmed working.

  • Stuff listed earlier (in my case some weeks ago) does work with bugged accounts, just new listings or direct sales or thrown into the void.

  • Happened to me too, just lost approx 10 gold :(

    I'm missing gold from TP activity between the rollback and the servers going offline. Clearly there is still a significant problem with TP being 'out of sync' which is somewhat disturbing considering the implications.

    everything was fine until I suddenly lost 12 scholar runes to the tp :(. Hope they'll fix it soon

    If you put items up at that time, you'll still have those items in your inventory now (or wherever you keep them) as the rollback has put them back. So it makes sense that you didn't get to double-dip and also get the money for the sale on tp.

    Nah I made multiple 'buy' orders so my gold was on the Trading Post, not in my account, and I cancelled the 'buy' orders when it became clear there was a brewing problem with the game and gathered all the gold back into my account to be safe. Logged out and waited for ANet to do their work.
    All the gold I took off the Trading Post has gone.
    It's the exact opposite of double-dip, it's negative dip!
    It seems our accounts have been restored to a point in time when my 'buy' orders still existed and therefore my gold was all tied up on the Trading Post. But the Trading Post, a separate server, has never been rolled back to that same moment in time, so the gold is nowhere.
    Anyone who did the same as me, at the same time as I did, would experience missing gold in exactly the same way.
    It has happened because the Trading Post did not fail when then EU game did and has not been rolled back to restore data sync.

  • Facing a similar problem, someone bought the item i listed during the Server down/rollback period (possibly from NA ? as the TP is common for both the servers, not sure) Never got the gold for that transaction, rasied a ticklet and looking forward for their action :)

  • Just tried listing something and once I saw the error message and the item was missing, came here to look for possible info. Will raise a ticket as well.

  • Did not manage to send the ticket yet, I was preparing a screenshot and upon reopening the TP window the item appeared listed as expected. Check your TP, the issue might have been temporary!

    I did the exact same thing yesterday. Put an item up on the TP, got the ERROR. Item is gone from my inventory, and it's not on the TP either, and not in my history (or Selling tab). Today when I logged in, someone had bought the item overnight and I had the gold waiting on the TP. So it actually was added to the TP, it just didn't show for some reason. Something is clearly up with the trade post, so I'm staying away from it until there's some official news.

    Just tested this again, and put 1 Strawberry on the Trade Post for 50c. Got "An Error Occurred." and then the "Quantity cannot be less than 1" error, and the strawberry is gone from my inventory and it's not showing up on the trade post either, so the trade post is still not working.

    I can't sell anything atm, when I try it just gives me an error.

  • Wish I saw this post yesterday before I 'sold' 5g worth of stuff on TP today and lost it all

    It seems to have been fixed with the disconnect issues, at least for me.

    Yes. I've updated my existing ticket on this begging for something to be done. I'm at that stage in the game where money is EVRYTHING, so I simply can no longer play until this is sorted out

    I dont know if this helped me but you can try it out just incase if you havent still tried this.

    Instead of press the ”Sell instantly”, I just tried to ”List” one cheap item on the TP, and that worked just fine. I could see the item I listed in ”My Transactions” tab aswell, so I took the item back again. This time I tried to Sell instantly again on the same item, and it worked! And since then TP has been working fine for me.

    I dont know if this was just an coincidence or if this actually helped me to connect to the TP again somehow.

    Try it out! Hopefully it works for you too :)

    Is anyone still having issues? I'm planning to sell some highly valuable items but no way if I can't trust the TP!

    Already lost 1000 globs of ectoplasm and 46 mystic coins during the rollback/recovery problem, which I still have an open ticket about... I'm not a hardcore farmer so that's a really massive amount for me.

    Still having issues with the TP ( did open a Forum post before finding this one)
    can "sell" items but get no Coins , since the rollback.

    Haven't touched the Trading Post since the rollback and won't until gold/items are restored to players and ANet makes a statement saying it's all fixed and safe to use. Until then I consider trading the same as throwing your gold/items away.

    Thanks for this, but it didn't work for me. I tried listing an item. It disappeared from my inventory, did not show up anywhere in my transactions tab and I was never paid. HO hum. back to waiting for Anet to up their game......

    Probably the best tactics for now...
    I trusted ANet to have fixed the TP issues and have been selling items on TP recently and got into trouble today - AGAIN
    See the ticket I opened to GW2 Support just 20min ago:

    Dear Customer Support,
    I have caught some very weird game behavior and recorded it. Please pay attention.
    This is the third time I have experienced the same issue but today I was finally able to record my screen to prove the case to you.
    I put some items on TP for sale today (some wood planks and gemstones) then I was away and some hour or two later I logged in again and noticed that coins from the sales are available for pick up.
    I tried to pick them up - impossible. Again - impossible. Again - impossible etc.
    Just kept on clicking on the button "Take All" but nothing happened. Money from the sold items could not be collected from TP.
    I checked the history of sales and all I was expecting to see was there on the list of sold items in the history tab.
    I logged in to another character, hoping the bug is gone and I can pick the gold but it was the same story.
    Then I logged out of the game. Logged in again only to find out that all the gold which I was supposed to pick up at TP now disappeared.
    I lost the income from those last 2 hours of sales. Amount of gold I owned hasn't changed in between re-logging. The income that I was not able to pick up earlier just disappeared.
    This is the 3rd time I have seen this happened recently. Every time some gold was gone and could not be picked up from TP.
    I actually reported the same issue to Game Support earlier but at that time I had nothing to back up my claim with but words and the ticket was dismissed.
    Now I have recorded my computer screen to show you exactly what is going on. Please check it.
    This is so frustrating.... how this can even happen...?
    Is this connected to the strange unstable server behavior recently ? Or what is going on with the game ?
    Very strange and very frustrating.

    That's not an ongoing issue. It "only" concerns items that were put up for sale by EU players between May 9 and May 11.

    Unless there is another issue that I am not aware of?

    It was an ongoing issue for me, now its fixed though. Everytime you tried to sell something, the items just disappeared without you receiving any money for them at all. This did appearantly not effect everybody, very annoying problem.
