Enjoying the game for the last month or so but need help with..

the jackal mount. I need help on how to use the mount because I die by falling out of the sky to my death. I enter the portal and fall right afterward looking for a bridge that should exist.

after looking into it further, i guess i need the 3rd jackal mastery unlocked in order to use the portals. makes the jackal mount kind of useless until then. lol

Yes, aside from the portals, jackals are mostly overlapped by raptors. But there is one little trick that comes in handy at times! The jackal's teleport resets your fall distance, so you can fall a fatal distance, teleport before you land, and not get dismounted! The raptor may be pretty much better in most ways, but it can't do that!

You can also use a Skimmer to float down and not even have to do anything
