Kitsune.4315
I got the new halloween skin pack for my mount's and made me a bit said when I realized that every mount can be dyed to the same colour and looks the same except the springer...Springer looks like 1 colour is really off compared to the others. Not sure if that is it's "feature" but hope this can be changed...Of course not every channel look exactly the same on them, but the springer's one is really different.Springer is the mount I adore the most so it feels a bit meh... :-{All of the below were dyed to celestial.https://ibb.co/hhm1J6https://ibb.co/e7fTy6https://ibb.co/gi7VBRhttps://ibb.co/d4F6kmhttps://ibb.co/jocxrR
Loboling.5293
It also seems to be the only one missing it's 4th channel color. (the glow) What I mean by this, is the 4th channel does nothing at all.
Donari.5237
I did notice that Springer is the hardest one to dye in a pleasing manner. Your shots show that it has a pink/red-shift in its coat, which is likely part of it.What I was thinking before I read this post was that the Springer has less texturing in its fur than the other mounts do in their various integuments, and the bone pattern is more flatly layered on without breaks. So overall it comes out looking a bit more like painted plastic. I've been dyeing mounts to suit various alts; some I've gone super colorful, some I've tried for a more "natural" look. I have almost every dye in the game, I'm just missing a number of the gem store specials, but none of the browns apply convincingly to the Springer, in large part due to their going on so uniformly all over its body. Here's hoping we get a "fluffy" Springer skin some day so it can have a more brindle coat.edit: Loboling, I think the dye channel you're talking about is just for the eye glow. You need to use a medium hue there; the brighter ones just look white and the darkest ones disappear against a dark fur background. I've been able to give my bunnies vivid green and blue eyes. Einlanzer.1627
Yes, I've noticed the same thing. The base material for the springer's fur channel appears to be off, which makes it difficult to make them look right, and the skeleton is always a bit too visible and cheesy looking. Hopefully we can get a fix for this.
Just a flesh wound.3589
It’s hard to get a match but you can get close with celestial on the body and a darker color (maybe silver) on the skeleton.

Except for Abyss I don’t think you can completely hide the skeleton. The best I’ve gotten with other colors is a close match but still there. Just not very obvious and in some cases can look more like a mottling effect.
Sylvari.2953
It's kinda funny that many people use the same color in every dye channel. And then there's me, using different colors in every channel to make fancy colorful combos. :P
Just a flesh wound.3589
edit: I wasn’t able to get a good dye combination on the Springer Halloween skin that made the “bones” disappear. Get somewhat less obvious is about the best but they’ll still be there, especially if you go to a differently lighted area.
Donari.5237
Psst, Flesh ... this thread is about Springer dye issues ;)The other mounts have lots of options to make them look spectacular.
StinVec.3621
I noticed no hazy glow effect as well, though I believe I saw it on the preview in the gem store. Also, all of the mounts seem to have a red hue to them, especially on edges. This same issue is apparent on hundreds of armor skins where they screwed up the textures and the red portion of the images shifted over and are seen. Some seem to only gain a red hue when zoomed out a few levels (rivets on front of gas mask helm for one), others it is visible at all times (even on cultural armor pieces). Many examples can be supplied, but dozens of reports over the years on the old forums led to none being fixed, so not expecting the mounts to be. Rayti.6531
What I noticed about the springer is that you can't dye its hair on the head and tail - at least it always seems to be a dark grey tone. This bothers me much more than the slightly different tint of its main fur color channel. Ayumi Spender.1082
I don't like how the hair is still white on it. Don't get why it does that, but other than that I'm like 95% satisfied with it.The other mounts don't have that kind of problem though for me.EDIT: That's Shadow Abyss btw. I don't get why the skeleton outline shows up as red at all.
StinVec.3621
I've found the issue causing the smokey mist to not appear on the Springer for myself and others.Graphics Options > AnimationSet to "Low" causes the smoke to not display on the Springer. However, being set to "Low" doesn't prevent it from displaying on all of the other mounts, just the Springer.Set to "Medium" or "High" fixes the smoke not appearing on the Springer mount. Nikal.4921
That springer mount needed help from the get-go. There is no dye that works right in its one dye channel. The colors on it are just ugly. It doesn't surprise me that this would carry over to skins you apply to it.
Kitsune.4315
Just unlocked 1 griffon skin and dang... dyed it full celestial and there is a really rough and ugly red edge where the channel parts meet... o__oThis is so wrong...
