Holo is OP

I have made the executive decision that holo is op but should not receive nerfs. Instead other classes should be buffed up to holos god-like S+ tier level. Here are my class change requirements for the next patch.

Warrior:

  • Now gains 3s of superspeed on all leap and movement attacks
  • Axe3, gs4, and sword4 have their cooldowns removed

Elementalist:

  • Evasive arcana now applies the dodge effect of all elements at once and has its cooldown removed
  • Conjure weapons now behave like kits where they have no activation cooldown and instant swapping

Ranger:

  • Wilderness knowledge now converts 3 condis into boons
  • Opening strike now adds aoe damage with a 1.25 power coefficient to your attack and refreshes when you dodge
  • Remorseless now also causes opening strike to blind and daze

Mesmer:

  • Mirage loses 50 endurance for a total of 0
  • Continuum split cooldown increased to 300s
  • Split second damage reduced by 43%

Thief:

  • Unhindered combatant now grants 5s of superspeed and the exhaustion effect is removed
  • Havoc specialist now provides 10% extra damage per depleted endurance bar
  • Weakening strikes gains a damaging effect with a 1.25 power coefficient
  • Escapist fortitude now converts 3 condis into boons
  • Collateral damage now activates when you hit a target, and recharges when you dodge

Revenant:

  • Hammer bolt has its cast time reduced to 0.33 seconds
  • Song of the mists now also blinds and dazes nearby targets
  • Cleansing channel now converts 3 condis into boons

Necro:

  • Deaths charge has its cooldown reduced to 2s and grants 3s of superspeed
  • Shroud now pulses 2 stacks of might every second with a 6s duration

Guardian:

  • Shattered aegis can now critically hit, and it now blinds and dazes effected targets

People who write stuff like this probably didn't play stuff like core engi before the februaty patch... you would know what it feels like to play against "god-like S+ tier" builds.

About your suggestions:

Necro:

Guardian:

Shattered aegis can now critically hit, and it now blinds and dazes effected targetsI would ping the dude who sometimes starts topics stating when this trait was nerfed. Shame I have a terrible name memory, could someone help me out?

I still havent forgiven condi mirage for the nightmare of early PoF balance. Also Chrono has had its fun since the july 7 patch, its about time they get nerfed again.

holo needs nerfs...

  1. explosive entrance w/ flashbang - this shit is busted ESPECIALLY for a minor trait, prob the best minor trait in the game ATM
  2. vuln application , it's ridiculous
  3. might generation FROM STANDING STILL can reach up to 17 , then you have forge 3 building over 20 stacks , literally pressing one button and standing still at high heat... want to talk about braindead design?
  4. mobility needs to nerfed a bit, like higher CD on holo forge #2 or something

a class that has mobility, sustain, dmg , side node potential, 1up potential , team fight potential all packed into one specialization is retarded. this isn't saying it doesn't take skill to play and get good because you have to get good with movement and nade throwing etc but it's still absolutely busted. power rev is busted too but that's another topic.

and before everybody has jumped onto the supply crate elite i would say remove the 2nd stun from it , because 2 stuns, water field, blinds, immob is retarded for an elite but this might not need it just because it being on holo is insane elixir s is still good in some scenarios maybe against a team with guardian (stab uptime) etc so it might not need a nerf idk but everyone will soon regularly be running supp crate elite over s MOST of the time , so prepare to be annoyed.... funny how the holo players complain about ranger entanging roots with it's immob but supp crate does 4 extra things on top of immob , too funny.

My favorite part is where everyone gets ridiculous buffs, but mesmer still gets nerfed hard! LoL

which again makes it even more broken

Sigil of celerity is not available in pvp and this is the pvp channel. Everything is busted in wvw. eg draining, cleansing, energy, sigils etc to name a few.

Holo is pretty stupid atm and every pvper currently at a high rating is just another holo abuser 80% of the time.

Explosive entrance is ridiculously overpowered in pvp:

  • It does too much damage (crit up to 4-5k)
  • It can be pre stacked
  • It has no cd
  • with flash bang trait which everyone uses its even more stupid, blinding every single time and sometimes even dazing. GG anet.

Elixir S is stupid giving both aoe stealth and self invul to secure stomps but that's been around for years, make it barrier+condi clear instead so theres at least counter play :smile: the stealth is ok

Now let's talk about grenades, too much damage too quickly, nerf grenade 2 and barrage a bit either increase cd or reduce damage. Explosive entrance + grenade 2 can easily hit 10k.

I will say this tho, Give prime light beam its damage back. It's a frickin elite skill with a huge cd and a huge tell. It shouldn't be worse than rifle 4. Nerf the rest first tho ty

Ah yes then the decap scrapper garbage. Throw mine is ridiculously obnoxious knockback spam, especially when used with shield 4 and flamethrower. No one enjoys fighting this nonsense at all.

Lots of things to fix with Anets little pet class.

I really enjoy prime light beam and have been using it on my holo despite the damage loss.

Or was until I fought another holo that tossed out the turret elite and I realized I was just running an inferior utility. :(

It does still have its uses though. Honestly was the damage from prime light beam ever the real issue before it was nerfed? Or was it the countless other traits people were abusing at the time combined with the burning if above the heat threshold? I can't remember. I'm sure it was pretty nasty at launch and it sucked to play against as a thief or mesmer that could just be tracked through stealth with a precast but it seems far less punishing in retrospect than tornado elixir or turret drop.
