Death-(Any) dragon corruption. and [Speculation][Spoilers]

Considering the mounting death toll on new, old, and (perhaps) loved characters by Jormag. It got me thinking about Zhitans domain and how now other dragons, including Jormag can or have use it.

Specifically, it seems that the freeing up of death corruption to all other dragons, allows them, even though most don't seem to normally deal with corpses, to corrupt the dead. For example, Kralkatorric has put it to good use.https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Death-Branded_Hessper_SassoPerhaps the other dragons can't do this too, how often, depending on access to the domain, but it has precedence, and I wonder if the dragons can strategically use this to corrupt powerful minions who would have otherwise been unavailable to the dragon. Either already dead, or otherwise resistant to the dragon's domain of corruption (but not death). We haven't, yet, seen death-infused icebrood that can raise the dead, like some of Kralkatorric's lieutenants could.https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Death-Branded_LieutenantBut, Jormag had been toying with it already it seems.https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Champion_Unstable_AbominationIt seems to be a real possibility for Jormag to use death magic and make a new kind of minion. How likely will we see even greater use of this type of mixed corruption by Jormag? Do you think it would be a complementary method of corruption to Jormag's persuasion?

And with that, here is some wild speculation. The idea of resurrecting the dead fully fits into Jormags promise to be benevolent protector and preserver of the world and inhabitants. It also opens up more avenues for corruption, those who can't be persuaded, can be killed and risen. Considering the pool of bodies to Jormag could turn into, lets call them, "awakened icebrood", Jormag could go from manipulating people's mind with persuasion, to also manipulating hearts with the promise to bring back the departed. And it could be unstoppable.Cinder (for Ryland), Smodur, Almorra...Under Jormag all that you have lost, can return, and all that you love will never leave your side. Also, Taimi is still dying from disease...

After Zhaitan's death, it does seem that other dragons have inherited death magic.

Mordremoth was able to create mordrem from corpses, as noted with blighting pods and blisters.

Primordus has created some Death Infused Destroyer minions as can be found in Ember Bay.

That notable LW3 encounter with the Death and Plant infused Unstable Abomination.

As well as the various cases of Branded corpses being reanimated.

What seems to be a limiting factor is how much death magic was absorbed by the particular dragon (It's noted in LW3 that because of Jormag's distance from Zhaitan/Mordremoth it shows less signs of corrupted Icebrood compared to Primordus) as well as how their methods of corruption function (Since, Mordremoth relied on the Blighting Pods and Blight Blisters in order to affect corpses. While Kralk, who corrupted things by creating brandstorms had a much easier time converting corpses into brand creatures)

As such, it would seem that Jormag might be able to raise the dead, but could be limited in doing so given that she didn't absorb much of the magic from Zhaitan/Mordremoth after their deaths and Aurene absorbed the brunt of what was released by Kralkatorrik (We have not really seen how much of Kralk's energies have been absorbed by the other Elder Dragons. But given the location of where he died, pretty much the opposite side of the world compared to Jormag, it stands to reason that little of his energies would have been absorbed by Jormag)

Devs confirmed that Jormag is more experimental and careful with using the magic it got from the death of other Elder Dragons, and Balthazar. Also that Jormag was using Zhaitan's magic to animate the Fraenir's corpse to talk to the Commander at the end of Episode 1 (and to animate Almorra's corpse to lure the Commander into Bjora Marches at the beginning of the episode).

That said, Jormag was always able to corrupt the dead. But in typical ANet fashion, minor things go unnoticed long-term, and by Season 3, Anet kinda forgot it. During the story step Enraged and Unashamed, we see some sickly quaggans die, then minutes later (or hours, if you feel like afking that long) after killing some icebrood and talking to the last living sickly quaggan, the dead ones get reanimated as icebrood quaggans. We also see a lesser certain case of a norn being dead yet icebrood in Edge of Destiny, with one recently-turned icebrood norn having a caved-in skull.

Jormag could go from manipulating people's mind with persuasion, to also manipulating hearts with the promise to bring back the departed. And it could be unstoppable.[...]Under Jormag all that you have lost, can return, and all that you love will never leave your side.I hope they don't do this. Because this is literally what Zhaitan was preaching. Practically word for word of the risen's persuasions.

Sovereign Eye of Zhaitan: I see in your heart that you have lost someone to Zhaitan. Someone named.... She/He is waiting for you now, beneath the dragon's wings...Sovereign Eye of Zhaitan: All the death around you. All those who have gone before you. Come to Zhaitan, and find everything you have lost. You can be with them again.

In addition, it's also strikingly similar to the way that Joko had manipulated people with the promise of Awakening. Alongside the threat that is killing and reanimating "Champions" (For the former, we have LW4 Ep 3 part 3 with Tactical Triage, where Sabil is being manipulated to spread the Scarab Plague with promise of awakening his dead wife. For the latter we have LW4 Ep 1 part 6 with The First City, where Joko threatens to kill and awaken Taimi in order to bypass the inquest door)

The exploitation of raising the dead has now been used by 2 separate antagonists (Zhaitan and Joko) and copy/pasting it for a third one would be lame.

It would be more interesting for Jormag to rely on their own powers that have so far been fairly successful with the Sons of Svanir. With the promise of power granted to the living making them willing servants to further their influence, not to mention it playing on norn ideals - With the promise of power playing off their reverence of heroic actions and feats of strength, as well as mirroring the gifts granted by the Spirits of the Wild via the ability to shapeshift into a powerful animal form.

Mostly like an oversight on Anets part, hence why the question arose in the first place all those years ago with the death domain and the Elder Dragons use of it.
