Counter Magic is just the first mastery in the Ancient Magics mastery line. Ancient Magics unlock after going through Out of the Shadows until you arrive in Bloodstone Fen. Then it is just leveling and unlocked like any other mastery.

The gliding skill unlocks are bought from Natto on the airship.

If you already can collect the https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Unbound_Magic_(object) orbs on this map, that would be an easy way to earn some exp.

Lw3 Daylies might be helpful as well, if they are on a map you already have access to. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Daily_Living_World_Season_3

Elsewise just do events, kill mobs i would say.You can do this on all maps belonging to the HoT expansions + Lw3.

(Maybe some of the HoT Adventures are an option as well for their daily reward chest https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Adventure, though there are some/a lot of players who don't like them, so that's something you need to see for yourself.)

Best way level up Mastery would be to look in LFG or map chat for people that run the main event chain for that map. You will get Unbound Magic from Gliding down and catch those purple looking nodes in air, by gathering ore nodes and from rewards during events. Make sure you have unlocked WP so you fast can get back if you die and nobody can rez you. Mastery are colour coded you so only gain XP for Mastery that have the same colour as the map you are on. You can see that from which colour Mastery Insight for that map have when you are on it. Counter Magic is a green Mastery.

--You can also see this if you look at the bottom line in your UI where you have the yellow line for how much XP you have gained and the left side you can see how many MP you have so far have activated. Click on any of these UI elements and you will open your view in Hero Panel for Mastery. When you fully gained XP you can activate this Mastery, but need to have enough Mastery Points. If you lack points (can not gain more XP until you start train another Mastery), then this line will show as greyed out until you start to gain XP again.

There are items that can be bought for increasing gain XP in general in Gem Store, but those aren't necessary (and in that case I would suggest to also look both at Food Primer and Utility Primer as those increase duration up to 12 hour independent on foods or utility's original duration).

There are Ascended food that increase in general XP: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ascended_feastHere is a list of all XP modifiers: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Experience

Make sure that you fast can access Counter Magic (Special action skill) during fights as it will be used in many other places in game to enable different skills and abilities. Option (use Escape to open Option)>controls: pick a key bind that is easy to fast use to react to Counter an effect (for most part have Confusion and other condition damage on Bloodstone Fen maps). In other maps you will have Bloodstone Crazed creatures that show up on a timer which is a map event for groups where need to use this special skill to counter effects or avoid getting pulled into a large AoE field with heavy damage.

Here is a list of ALL possible use of this Counter Magic skill that this Mastery unlocks:https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Special_action_skill

Here is a list of different way to get Unbound Magic: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Unbound_Magic(There is also Gathering Tools that can be bought either as Permanent from Gem Store, or as Glyphs that can be added to a gathering tool - can be bought at TP or you can buy

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Infinite_Unbound_Magic_Gathering_Tools(this Gem Store item have all three Unbound Magic Gathering tools as a package)

Here is the limited one 50 charges, that can be bought with Karma:https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Unbound_Mining_Pick(You can see NPC vendors on the same page)

As for Pile of Bloodstone Dust - you will get more then use in general as long you have at least one crafter. It is used for crating of Ascended items, but it is of the most common item you get in this game. When you gather from nodes in Bloodstone Fen you will get this item as part of gathering Ore.

There is no need to farm for this token.

If you have PoF and access to mounts (Skyscale) then you don't really need to invest time in level up and buy Bloodstone Fens Mastery in Gliding to add more Gliding skills. Your mount will do it better, as long you get Bound of Faith (possible to jump of your mount and glide and summon mount). This option with purchase of special skills for control during Gliding where before mount existed and aren't used on other maps as far as I know, only in Bloodstone Fen.

All green Mastery for Gliding are useful in ALL maps, even with mounts.
