Power mesmer phantasm builds for wvw

Are phantasms any good for mesmer, or are they trash? Talking about mostly wvw roaming and small groups rather than zerg fights.

Trash!Hey look it's my old pal Alt F4. Welcome back, haven't seen you in a while.

Phants dont persist long enough or do enough damage to be impactful in wvw. Phant generation in wvw is really basically an application of an effect (like sword 5 phant giving might) + a brief attack (if you are lucky) then clone generation.

Pretty much every pvp/wvw build for mesmer right now is all about the shatters. Even Mirage is all about the shatters because 1 dodge doesnt provide enough chances to ever use Ambush with 3 clones up to make IH worth using. Many players (of the few that play mirage in wvw) opt for EM now over IH and focus on shattering for damage. The other reason is clones dont generally live more than Id say 1-3 seconds in wvw at best so again IH ambush damage is extremely limited. Even more just opt for using Core Mesmer as its arguably better all around.

Almost all classes can cleave clones very fast, even in pvp.
