Black minimap, unable to see red dots (WvW), pings or others

I'm not certain if and how closely the issue is related to the fuzzy/blurry minimap/TP issue (my TP is a bit blurry as well).

Since the August 11 update, my minimap is black. I mostly play WvW, and noticed the commander tag is also not visible (only something like a glowy circle) and red dots are not visible.In addition, independent of WvW, I also don't see pings, player marks, waypoints, or anything else.

I'm playing on elementaryOS 5.1 with the following specs:Core i7 4790K16 GB DDR3AMD Radeon 5700XT 8GB

I have the EXACT same problem (started on the 8/11 update) and it’s driving me insane. It’s impossible to do any kind of PvE map completion.I’m on MacOS

Interesting... Maybe the issue with the blurry minimap that others experience, translates to a black minimap on non-windows OS's...And I confirm... PvE, PvP, WvW... it's a huge handicap to not have a minimap.

Linux user here and the same problem. I try to google if I can do something with WINE. If I find solution, I post it here. But do not hold your breaths!

I also have the exact same problem that seems to have started with the update and it is absolutely a handicap for map completion. I'm on MacOS as well.

Happened to me as well, on Windows 10.In all PVE/WVW Maps :(

Likewise, perma black map.

I more or less accidentally saw my minimap back when I started without DXVK, but rather with OpenGL. Graphics looked bad and the game was laggy, but the minimap was there... :-\

I have exactly the same problem on Kubuntu 20.04.

For the Linux users: If the issue is still present, can you please post some system details?

• DXVK version
• Wine/Proton/Lutris
• GPU driver version
• GPU make and model (Nvidia/AMD)

I solved the issue by moving to a newer DXVK version! Seems like I had a quite old one. Thanks to the peeps over at https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/issues/1755 for the good hint!

For the Linux/Lutris users out here, the option is a little bit hidden. You have to open the configuration panel, "Runner" tab, tick the "Show advanced options" in the bottom left corner, and then select a newer version in the "DXVK version" combobox. Here, 1.7.1 is the default.
