Is this suppose to be a solo fight? if it is either I missed something or I just suck because it took a lot of deaths and a lot of time.

Yes all the personal story and expansion stories are tuned for solo, if your having trouble you can invite up to 4 additional players to join you.

Yes i got my butt handed to me as well about 7-10 times... Some classes like warrior are just terrible in boss fights..https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/7ob4mc/story_missions_too_hard_or_im_playing_it_wrong/ we are not alone op.

Yes, it is. If you are having trouble remember that every class has ranged weapon options. It's easier to stay alive and dodge the enemy attacks if you fight from a distance.

remember that there's no real penalty for restarting from checkpoint, you can respawn and kamikaze into a boss over and over until you defeat them.
