Legendary Sigils: resetting when weapon unequipped

You fixed legendary gear some time ago to not reset any longer when you unequip it, but instead keeping the stats of the currently active equipment loadout.

Why can't you do the same for legendary upgrades? It's annoying to have to customize it anew each time you temporarily swap, let's say, your legendary greatsword containing the sigil for a longbow.
