Beginner in PvP - Scrapper vs Mirage?

Hello everyone.I've been playing GW2 casually in PvE for like 2 years with few weeks/months of break inbetween.Now I actually gave PvP a try because I got bored of Holo in PvE and wanted to try something else.I have Mesmer and Engineer and would like to play PvP with either from these professions.I don't mind spending some time in the mists and trying out, testing, learning, etc.

I watched some cool videos about

and .So, I want to have some fun in PvP and I actually like both professions.I just can't decide, which one could be more beginner friendly but still boing able to get some kills + have fun.

Could you give me some tips?

I was trying out the rotations on Mirage because it was really well explained. It works in the Mists on dummies/duellists, but when I got in unranked matches, I kinda couldn't do it really.Ofcourse I have to practice but still, I couldn't run away as I should have, nor do the damage I should have done.

On Scrapper on the other hand, I kinda felt stronger (offense and defense) than Mirage, although it "shouldn't" be like that or?I did some really good damage and was "super tanky" because of barriers I guess.

engi as a whole is better than mesmer. Scrapper and holo have great builds. Mesmer will just make you frustrated as a new player

Mirage isnt particularly easy, and worse yet, its currently not viable. Scrapper is generally more beginner-friendly.

Thanks. tbh I dont wanna play Holo because I literally played it 24/7 in PvE and wanted/want a change.I actually see scrapper as a really cool profession, although I would love mesmer to perform good and to have fun with since it's my favourite profession / mechanic.

Although, I still havent managed to find/understand the Scrapper combos and/or rotations when encountering 1v1 or group fights.Any Scrapper here mind giving me an explanation in few sentences?I guess my problem is that I did not understand the mechanic about fields and rotations to make use of traits as I should have.

Also, I guess Scrapper could be nice in WvW too right? I watched some videos and it seemed fine.

@grabowac.7915Mirage is one of the hardest specs in the game, all the while being in the bottom half balance wise, as a new player I would advise you to stay away from mesmer unless you dont have a choice. Scrapper is strong as fuck, and friendly to new players.In lower ranks you will be able to make at least 3 builds with diffrent playstyles so thats what I would suggest.Mesmer lacks variety, all builds do the same shit, with scrapper IF you decide to go with it you will be able to switch up things when it gets boring.This is how it is right now, you can go holo or scrapper and make like 4 or 5 builds with different ways to play and have fun

Just a heads up, people on that pvp discord server are surprisingly.....pleasant and helpful.

mirage is cool and such but its not easy to play, its weaker than most builds atm and only has 1 dodgewhile some scrapper builds allows you to press 1 button and get your brain on afk mode :P haha
