No. You want the stun break and condi cleanse. Signet of might, signet of rage, and lesser signet of might have you more than covered on might.

For an alternative run runes of speed and an axe/horn set with the rifle. Never mount up, it clears the signet of ferocity stacks.

PvE or PvP? You want stunbreaks for PvP.

His context was competitive play, he did not specify WvW or PvP though, but since its Rifle I assumed WvW personally. If its in PvE though it would depend on the area being played. Sometimes the stunbreak and condi cleanse is still more valuable than the might and fury.

I tried Rifle abit in pve recently and it feels awful to use compare to LB from ranger.Everything about it is much clunkier now. The dodge is not bad but the backward distance is too short to justify the animation.3 does less dm too as well, and 1 doesn't has pierce for whatever the reason and do laughable damage.

For WvW Diviner's gear works better than Berserker's. Slot in some Commander's if you need some armor. Rifle builds have a hard time stacking Might so you want to make it last as long as possible when you do, otherwise you'll just shoot pebbles.

Rifle's main strength is the nearly instant 25 Vulnerability, so practice your rotation accordingly.

Boon stripping will be your biggest threat, I think.

I just recently returned to GW2 and I was disappointed to learn I missed the meta for the Rifle Warrior/Berserker build.

Out of curiosity, is a Berserker Rifle build completely useless now or is it still be fun to play even though it was been nerfed?

I appreciate these points. I know Rifle Warrior probably isn't the best for WvW, but I'm having fun trying it.

Arms for signet mastery. Use signet of might, fury, and rage. Pew pew. Take a stun break in the last utility slot.

It works. But you'll be a one trick pony. Which is fine, such ponies are fun to play. If you have to mount up use your signets as soon as they appear and then F1. double tap F1 if you are a Berserker. I really wish the stacks of Signet of Ferocity did not go away when you mount. It greatly inhibits the trait in PvE and WvW. Like I said above though with Runes of Speed and Warhorn you should run fairly quickly. Bonus condition cleanses from the horn as well.

Again, one trick pony build, so you'll have to get the kill quickly but here are three variants with Runes of Speed and Warhorn:http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKwEQ6MsMBmFjiNxKxi2KrdB-zVIYRUzXIBHBVUCZkA2dACYP8W0fGA-wBasic Arms/Disc/Berk setup.

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKwEQ6MsMBmFjiNxKxxWRrdB-zVIYRUzXIBHBVUCZkA2dACYP8W0fGA-wThis is an Arms/Str/Berk setup. More overall damage in the event you hit them with Berserk mode first, so even though you are running rifle hit fight in melee range.

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKwEQ6MsMBmFjiNxKxiWqqdB-zVIYRUzXIBHBVUCZkA2dACYP8W0fGA-wArms/Tact/Berk setup. This has the same damage as the Str version in the opening shot if they are still above 90% HP, and get close to 30k at full sigil stacks, might stacks, vuln stacks on low armor targets if they have barrier, so snipe the weavers, scourges, and scrappers.

If your opening Gunflame fails, then use Rifle 2 and 4 to put a large amount of vulnerability on them (24 stacks just from those two in WvW) and force out dodges with Volley while closing into melee range. Hit them with Rifle 5 or 4 again followed by F1 when Gunflame is off CD and you have the adrenaline for it. In fact I recommend on the Tactics variant to lead with Rifle 3, 4, 2 then double tap F1 and clean up with recharged rifle skills.

On any of those links you can swap Mending for Blood Reckoning for an immediate refresh of Gunflame in the event the first misses, or for when you force out all the dodges with volley, aimed shot, and brutal shot.

You will be squishy though so be careful.

Thank you!. I really appreciate all the helpful comments and example builds. I'm more concerned with having fun, so a one trick pony is fine by me : ) I can also switch and play my ele in WvW for a change of pace.

Time to start crafting some of that gear.

This build has been interesting to play! I wanted ask what do you think about using Marauder armor rather than Berserker? All Berserker gear really seems very squishy. Like too-overripe fruit squishy and I thought Marauder might be a good compromise.

Also should one be popping the Signets of Might and Fury even out of combat just to keep the Ferocity up in case of surprises? I've been hitting them at the start and saving the Signet of Rage if things get rough (and saving the Dolyak Signet for stun breaks)

In general you use Berserker's so long as you are able to survive in it. Marauders is absolutely fine to run, it also has higher crit chance, which is a bonus.

Using the signets ooc is risky as they may be on CD for when you need them, but you'll enter combat with an extra 33.33% crit damage.

I would say to leave Signet of Fury for when you engage though and use might and rage to fuel the ferocity stacks.

Did you go arms/tactics, arms/disc, or arms/strength?

Do you have rifle/GS build?

Man you're asking for a build I ran 3 months ago. That's approximately 234656 builds in the past for me lol.

If you are doing Core Then you generally want:Str: Bot/Mid/Mid or Top if you have good enough sustain. Bottom if you need large amounts of adrenaline.Disc: Mid/Bot/Bot or Top if running axe.

Then Either:Tact: Top/Top/Mid or Bot depends on if you have allies or not

Or

Arms: Mid/Mid/Top or Mid. Furious is great adrenaline gain, but Burst precision is clutch crit on burst.

You want Mending for the heal. You want either Stomp or Bulls charge for CC. You want one other condi cleanse. The last utility is up to you really. The elite can be anything as they all have useful purposes. Go Marauder stats. Take a rune set that shores up where you feel you are lacking stat wise. Wurm isn't a bad choice since it gives vitality and ferocity.

If you are going signet mastery you want at least 2 signets in your build. If you mount up the stacks of signet of ferocity get deleted, so have a warhorn handy for swiftness so you can run around with the stacks up, Runes of Speed will help in that case, but you won't have as high damage.

It depends on the matchup. If you plan on using rifle then don't bother engaging Daredevils and Thieves. They'll keep their stolen skill for when you swap to rifle and lol at you while they block all your shots.

You can go full meme and run Marauder stats, DPS runes, and Berserker. Use Signet Mastery and pop 5 signets followed by burst and Gunflame, but if you miss you're s.o.l.

Or you can keep it as a ranged weapon to complement your melee set and build more balanced.

This is what I've been running the past few days just for kicks and giggles:http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKwAceRlJwSYXMMmJOWTltPA-zVJYiR3fh0UIERBURGI40IgZAA-w

I make 0 claims about its effectiveness, but I do kill other players more often than not with it. Killed a Ranger this evening with a few hits from my Axe AA chain -> Berserk->Decapitate. Was sad he dropped so fast, but that happens when they come into WvW under geared. Lead another Ranger into a one man ambush and roflstomped him. Guy got salty with me.

You can swap out Tactics for Discipline for Crack Shot, Fast Hands, Axe Mastery, and Burst CD reduction. I wanted the extra immobilize and sustain so I took Tactics. That and every time I DONT take Warrior's Cunning I seem to run into weavers/scourges that refuse to die because of their barrier.

In a team fight, in the event you take Tactics and Leg Specialist, hang out in the back and ping high value targets with your immobilizes and vulnerability. Your teammates should be able to down that target very fast because of the 24 vulnerability and immobilize. If you do that though, when that team comes across you again you will get instant hate from them.
