Why does banner decide to not stomp sometimes?

Why does the supposed "buffed" offhand sword 4 not proc might makes right?

I noticed that banner sometimes doesn't work when enemy is on stairs or some other structure. Pathing has always been a problem in gw2.

I've had it fail a clean double stomp opportunity in a clutch situation in the middle of foefire while not being blinded or anything.

Where you at full health? I've seen MMR not proc at full health before.

Banner is more of a LOS issue, if there is a piece of game geometry between the epicenter of the AoE and the target, even if invisible, it will miss. South Camp in Alpine Borderlands is a good example of that. But, if this was truly a flat plane you were casting on, then that is a problem.

Banner's best counter believe it or not, is blind and poison

If you are blinded the stop will never happen.

Poison will never revive a player under 33% health.

Both these conditions i feel are on you most of the time.

banner stomp range is very small like melee range small

Aegis blocks the stomp too

Ew, i just noticed its half the radius of the revive. probably whats been happening even though ive seen unpoisoned revives fail too with no hp being added to the downed.

if 3 people were down ( 1 from my team ) i would just try and drop it so all 3 were in the circle but i guess only scrapper's 25 second cooldown res/stomp works like that "because the revive isnt instant after the cast"
