  • Hi, here are some standard comp you can meet in PUG :
You basically need quickness (2 chrono/QFB/QHFB) and alac (2 chrono or 1 alacren) for 10

    W1 :

    -- VG --

    • 2 heal (could be half support)
    • 2 to 3 support (could be power or condi dps)
    • 1 bs
    • 3 power dps
    • 2 condi dps

1 of this must be the tank (toughness agro)
If 1 of your heal is QHFB (5ppl quickness) then you need 2 support: 1 alac (for 10) and 1 support quickness (chrono/QFB) (for 5)
If not you can run 2 chrono (quickness+alac) or 2 QFB/chrono and 1 alac

    -- Gorseval --

    • 1 or 2 heal (pref a druid for entangle)
    • 2 or 3 support
    • 1 bs
    • 5 dps

1 of this must be the tank (toughness agro)

    -- Sabetha --

    • 2 heal
    • 2 or 3 support
    • 1 bs
    • 5 dps

    No tanking mechs here
1 heal (not hfb) to kite
1 dps and the bs for the 4 cannons

    W2

    -- Slothasor --

    • 2 heal
    • 2 to 3 support
    • 1 bs
    • 5 dps

Tanking here is not based on toughness
4 of them should take a mushroom (pref dps and bs)

    -- Trio --

    • 2 heal
    • 2 to 3 support
    • 1 bs
    • 5 dps

Here the bs could take care of the saboteurs
1 other guy for the mortars
and 1 last for the barrels

    -- Matthias --

    • 2 heal
    • 2 to 3 support
    • 1 bs
    • 5 dps

    OR

    • 2 heal
    • 1 Boon thief (all boons for 10 except alac)
    • 1 Alac
    • 1bs
    • 5 dps

No tanking here, Matthias follow the guy who's the farthest of him
Here 1 of 2 dps should take reflect skills

    W3

    -- Escort --

    • 1 chrono (cave + tower with portal or solo)
    • 1 or 2 heal
    • 1 or 2 support
    • Rest Dps

1 dps or the bs for back warg
the heal could take care of Glenna

    -- Keep Construct --

    • 2 heal
    • 2 to 3 support
    • 1 bs
    • 5 dps

    OR

    • 2 heal
    • 1 Boon thief
    • 1 Alac
    • 1bs
    • 5 dps

1 of this must be the tank (toughness agro)
1 in the squad should push the heart

    -- Twisted Castle --

    • 2 heal
    • 2 support (1 chrono with portal)
    • Rest dps

basically dudu or tempest do the skip or a group with 1 dps and 1 heal do the buttons

    -- Xera --

    • 2 heal
    • 2 to 3 support
    • 1 bs
    • 5 dps

1 of this must be the tank (toughness agro)

    W4

    -- Cairn --

    • 2 heal
    • 2 to 3 support
    • 1 bs
    • 5 dps

No tanking here, Cairn attack the farthest ppl

    -- Mursaat --

    • 2 heal
    • 2 to 3 support
    • 1 bs
    • 5 dps (1 dps could be necro epi)

    OR

    • 2 heal
    • 1 Boon thief
    • 1 Alac
    • 1bs
    • 5 dps

No tanking here, MO follow the guy with the "claim"

    -- Samarog --

    • 2 heal
    • 2 to 3 support
    • 1 bs
    • 5 dps (1 dps could be necro epi)

Tanking is based on the farthest guy after each CC bar

    -- Deimos --
    Depending on the strat

    Melee

    • 1 tank
    • 2 heal (1 black kite who stay with the tank after 60%)
    • 1 or 2 support
    • 1 bs
    • 4 dps
    • 1 Hand kite (could black kite)

    Range

    • 1 Tank
    • 1 Heal black kite
    • 1 heal pack
    • 1 or 2 support
    • 1 bs
    • 4 dps
    • 1 HK
  • There are 3 main ways to setup a standard pug LFG. All 3 are totally fine to pug all w1-4 with. Its up to your preference.

    1. Firebrigade
Tank chrono, druid, bannerslave, dps, dps
Healfirebrand, alacrity renegade, dps, dps, dps
Alternativly, healfirebrand can tank and you take a condition quickness firebrand, or a power quickness chronomancer to replace the tank chronomancer.

    2. Firebrigade p2
Tank chronomancer, druid, bannerslave, dps, dps
Quickfirebrand/quickchrono, alacrity renegade, offheal, dps, dps
This allows you to take a stronger offheal like healscourge or tempest at the cost of some dps.

    3. Double chrono
Tank boon support chrono, druid, bannerslave, dps, dps
Off boon support chrono, offheal, dps, dps, dps
The boon support chronos will provide both quickness and alacrity.

W1. You will need 2 of the dps to be condition for the first boss, and the rest to be power. Power dps should be used at samarog. Druid will need to know how to kite at sabetha.

W2. Tank is not needed so you can swap that for a quickfirebrand or quickchrono, if you run setup 1 or 2, or offboon chrono if you run setup 3. You will need groupwide stunbreak for sloth. Stand your ground is a good option if you have a guardian. You will need a class that can reflect, preferrably mirage dps at matthias, but chronos or guardians can also do this mechanic. Power dps is needed at sloth and condition at matthias.

W3. At least 1 mesmer is needed to do portals for escort so I'd recommend you run setup 1 or 3 for this wing. Druid will need to know how to push orbs at KC. DPS should be power at KC.

W4. condition dps should be used at cairn. Power dps at samarog. Deimos needs a handkiter so one of the dps should be able to swap to that role at deimos. Druid or offheal should know how to blackkite if you are doing range strat.

This should get you started. Its a bit outdated abd doesn't include 10 quickness chrono.

chrono=5 men quickness and 5 men alacrity
firebrand (heal or condi)= 5 men quickness
alacrity renegade (heal or power) 10 men alacrity
Boon thief=all boons for 10 men 100% uptime EXCEPT alacrity (only works for few bosses)
    SOLO heal
    2 chronos
    1 druid
    1 bs
    6 dps

    2 chronos
    1 druid
    1 off heal
    1 bs
    5 dps

    SOLO heal
    2 quickness condition firebrands
    1 alacrity power renegade
    1 druid
    1 bs
    5 dps

    1 quickness condition firebrand
    1 heal quickness firebrand
    1 alacrity power renegade
    1 druid
    1 bs
    5 dps

    SOLO heal
    1 quickness condition firebrand
    1 chrono
    1 alacrity power renegade
    1 druid
    1 bs
    5 dps

    1 chrono
    1 heal quickness firebrand
    1 alacrity power renegade
    1 druid
    1 bs
    5 dps

    1 chrono
    1 condition quickness firebrand
    1 alacrity heal renegade
    1 druid
    1 bs
    5 dps

    2 quickness condition firebrands
    1 alacrity heal renegade
    1 druid
    1 bs
    5 dps

    1 boon thief
1 Alacrity renegade (heal or power)
    1 druid or soulbeast
    1 bs
    6 dps
There is an option to cover either quickness or alacrity by stacking certain dps classes as well.

I'll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.

  • Thanks all! Got the info i needed
Ty for taking time and typing all these!
