Idea’s for commander’s squad

If any of you been in a squad before then you’ll know it’s pretty difficult to local party memeber (not the tag). this is why we stack because we have one local where we may find our other party memebers and that is by sticking to the tag. Could we get a different color for our party members on radar this would help bring little life back. It would . Yes I know we can use markers as well for sub commanders or group healers. If we were able to identify that one of our party memebers was On the frontline we could use a skill that for could combo . In short give a different color on radar and nameplate that are partied together within commander’s squad . Unless there is mod out there for it . On a side note tactics why is it we don’t have too spend any wvw points too use them . There are new players free accounts that go and troll them . Good way to stop the troll on that would to add a wvw line to use the them .

Apparently the party members are a slightly lighter blue on the radar than squad from when this has been asked before. Obviously it's still visually indistinct.

An alternative is that you can set the health bars for your party to be thick.

We brought this up with Anet when the feature was added and they explained that the shade of blue in your party is completely different from the shade of blue in your squad and working as intended.

I've not been able to tell the difference beyond the thickness of party HP bars. Seems pretty much like an FU to anyone who doesn't see in perfect colours.

While there are some things to be said about accessability, I think that alot of your concerns also comes down to that no one really gives a hoot anymore as there are plenty of tools that could be used to aspire to more with the organisation of your groups that see very little use overall. In vanilla we had things like focus parties and the like even though we didn't even have squads. These days we have the ability to mark additional subcommanders and positions in the squad but it is very rarely used to any effect.

The reason is that the vast majority of players in WvW are only going through the motions by now, as that is what the developers have brought about. Very few new commanders come up to perform better than the 7-year jaded veterans whose guilds died several years ago and who only tag up alone out of routine or to give their servers something to do once in a while. WvW is becomming more and more like the mentor tags on farm maps and it is very possible that ArenaNet are quite happy with that - it would be more familiar with PvE overlap. It's not very fitting for PvP though as anyone who aspires for more will quickly outperform the other by a very large margin.

If we could (re-)build community, rebirth commanders and drive the social engineering of the mode up again then it is possible that more of these things would see use. The same goes for tactics and the like. The controls are not perfect, but you can lock them to use if you own the objective. The mechanics for player organisation around them is there, it is just that no one cares enough to organize for that and things are left open to trolls in most cases because it is convenient and most groups who manage objectives simply do not care if tactics get trolled.

Right now we ask our fellow players for the tried-and-proven comfortable and kick the uncomfortable. That is the uncomfortable truth :) .
