AFK Botting

I like how we see people in the same spot all day, everyday on their ranger with a pet out, AFK botting. Report them and they are still there everyday weeks later. So much for arena net caring.

Unless Anet responded to the report and found that they were not AFK. I could easily have the game running on one screen while doing something on another.

Technically you are allowed to use "auto-attack" skills (turrets, pets, whatever) since it's a part of game mechanics. However, in theory, ANet does not allow do this AFK. First thing you should consider that multi-boxing is allowed. Which means that someone can buy 10 accounts, launch them all and control each character. Not simultaneously, rather one by one.Details: https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013658134-Policy-Dual-or-Multi-Boxing

Second, ANet does not provide us quarterly or annual statistics regarding bans and actions against those who violated EULA. Which means we stuck with Russell's teapot problem: we don't have evidence that ANet actually does something, and at the same time we have no opportunity to prove or refute it.

So the only thing you can do is to report and move forward as it was mentioned by @Ayrilana.1396 .
