"Misleading" preview (Touch of Madness)

I kinda wanted to show and warn people about the difference of this weapon in preview and in world. There is quite some intensity difference. I know many people will actually like this. That resolution... are you playing on a TI-83?

Edit: Yea, that preview is definitely off. What GPU do you have and what are your graphic settings?

i have a 1366x768 resolution (yes notebook) xd. My settings are mostly medium with shaders and postprocessing on high

Getting back means that you bought the item, so there's no chance they are going to take away the cash from the seller.I wish you good luck though i am pretty sure of the outcome.

Yeah, the preview doesn't show what the actual item looks like when equipped, I agree. However, you're not going to get any gold back because it was a trade made on the TP. You paid, you got the item, and the seller got the gold.

That is quite a difference. I'm running on high/ultra settings and my preview shows the same as yours. I don't mind the extra effects for the anger-issues alt I'm most thinking of using the skin on but I was hoping for something like in the preview. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm...That's a huge difference. I'm kind of glad I can't afford one with the look like that.Seeing that you bought it, I don't think you can simply get your money back on this... I would more ask them on why it looks different and hope they fix the in game version to look the same as the preview (at least then I would want one too as I sure don't want it looking like the right image... that looks bad)

Though I still really like it as it has no "stowed" visual at all which was really what I was going for when purchasing this item, the preview is quite misleading. This is often the case with the preview window and post process effects, though.

Thanks for sharing.Frankly, I like it better in the world than in the preview window. Now I want this torch even more. I just wish I could recolor it. I need it in blue/violet. :tongue:

So i finally received a reply from a dev to my ticket. As expected, the spend gold can not be refunded. That is totally ok, but still the preview mislead is still there and needs to be fixed. The dev that took his time wanted me to post the issue in the forums. well i already created this topic before i got an answer, so here i am, bumping it up again. On the plus side, it goes perfectly with the Warrior effects when you enter Berserk mode.

So there's that at least.

The preview window has long since needed a major update. There's no way to change the lighting (which affects how things look), no way to see how the skin looks during combat, no way to dye it properly (if armor), and generally things look very different in the preview panel than they do in game.

I had bought it a couple days ago and had been disappointing it didn't look the way it did in the preview, as in my opinion the model shown when previewing is better.

I personally prefer the in game version more than the preview.
