Bloodstone fen souls

im having a new character playimng through the story, and i just got to bloodstone fen, and while running around there, i was wondering.
Why are their souls here, the souls sacreficed on the bloodstone had their souls be put into soul batteries to power the door of komalie, that was the whole reason why they did that whole sacrefice ritual, to get souls for the door and remove chosen, so why are their souls at the bloodstone fen? or am i missing something obvious?

Basically because the bloodstone magic was so strong that even after the stone blew up the magic of the bloodstone didn't end and those soul were sucked back over to it and trapped there. same way we see some ghosts in the fire island chain who were bound to bloodstone magic in that part of the world.

You're missing lore from the journals found in Bloodstone Fen (and iirc, it's mentioned in Spirit Vale raid too).

In short, the Bloodstone is so addictive and the souls so warped that when the Door of Komalie was destroyed, the souls unleashed returned to the Maguuma Bloodstone instead of moving on to the Mists.

It's possibly due to the heroes of GW1 opening the door of Komalie, that the souls from the batteries somehow returned to the Bloodstones that they were sacrificed on.
