To get Firework Spaulders from last year you need 8 Essence of Luck (Legendary). You can't craft these.

So far, Icebrood Saga weapon collections cost 3845 Gold to craft!
*Does not include Volcanic Stormcaller set, Runic Armor, or Icebrood Infusion.

Comments

  • They drop from Envelopes, though.
And ToT Bags, as well as other containers.

    Thus, not impossible.

This drops exactly 8 Essence of Luck as one of the options. Did you even bother to wiki Essence of Luck (legendary) before making a whole forum post about it?

They may be new and/or not know that the game has a wiki that is well documented.

(And in response to your likely follow-up response to that: I know)

  • Definitely not new; regardless, the Wiki is a treasure trove of all things Guild Wars 2.

Did you bother looking at the wiki that didn't have that information on the Essence of Luck Legendary page before making THIS comment?

Actually, it did have that information. Your post is dated Feb. 4th; the page in question was last updated on Feb. 2.
(It's under 'Aquisition'.) In fact, that information has been in that article for the last 5 years.

The information that Essence of Luck (Legendary) was added to the chest in question, was added Feb. 3.

    Edit: providing missing letter

Considering you didn't mention these methods of acquisition but only on it not being able to be crafted.

  • 100% agreed with original post. It doesn't matter that there are ways to gamble for it or sacrifice other rewards for it. There's no good reason for it not to be refineable. It's a long-standing issue.

Having every other tier be refineable and then requiring the elusive legendary tier as a currency is like being able to build your Subway sandwich one ingredient at a time but then being told that if you want it toasted you have to either skip your next meal or play the "toast-it slots" in the corner. It's infuriating.
