Change Snowden DRM

Right now cause the timer happening in the middle of the escort the timer is really hard to beat simply for not having anyone with a speed buff for the npcs. Change it so all enemies spawn after the pre events and then the npcs just run and talk without it effecting anything like they do in literally every other drm. Also remove the elites that offer no interesting mechanics in the fight besides having lots of hp and make it kill the three portals and then go back to the boss. That is how it works on all the other bosses like the one in brisband and gendaran you kill the volcanos and it phases. The boss fight is pretty fun but its not a fun drm because it fails for really dumb reasons right now.

then they should cut down the timer by a bit. it shouldnt be made easier, but the escort can be tweaked to gain no personal advantage and disadvantage

As long as the time is mostly about killing enemies and doing the boss well. DRMs have a nice focus on the actual combat of the game instead of weird gimmicks like you see in dungeons. This is the only DRM that feel hard for the wrong reasons.

This is the only drm that is kinda hard to solo though. You have more than 50% of the timer left on the other ones but in this one its always 2min max without any wipes. usually below 1min.and then the boss is getting protection for no particular reason aswell. just to mess with power builds.

Have someone quickness or super speed the npc and you will have 9-6 mins left mate.

WITH swiftness its 7min for the endboss. which has 3 phases and bombards you with chill. you kinda need op solo builds to finish it in time in the first place and this is the only drm where this applies.This was about solo. the escort takes too much time. you cant pull adds together because they have stab so even killing the spread out chill spamming mobs becomes a nightmare. it is possible but on another level than all the other drms for the wrong (escort) reasons.

Yeah lets just remove cm and have none Challenges at all lets auto attack eveything! Cm is supose to be hard if they make cm easy there Will be No reason to have cm. I swear to god some People man

snowden cm is not easy .. but Thunderhead Peaks fro solo run is more awful.

If you’re getting to the boss with only two minutes left on the timer then it’s less about the movement speed of the NPCs and more to do with very low DPS.

You may be right. I read a post about someone having two min left on the timer after reading their other post about having 7 min on the timer with swiftness. Looks like they were referring to two different points of time in the DRM.

They’re technically wrong about this CM being the only one where people usually have two min or less on the timer after beating the boss. You see this with Fields of Ruin and Thunderhead Peaks as well.

The Heal Firebrand has several ways to buff the NPCs' speed. Shouldn't be an issue. Unless you play without one. ;)

Just because its possible doesn't mean its designed well. I've done it myself but I'm still aware at how bad it is.

And again I'm not sure why everyone is insecure about this no one is talking about the second thing you quoted.

Lol. Again i dont really get why everyone is so insecure when gw2 is a bread dead easy game. No, drms are designed around the games actual combat it should be hard to do became of a gimmick wasting time. If you wanted to do gimmick content then dungeons exist and no one does them because of their confirmed bad design.

No, drms are designed around the games actual combat it should be hard to do became of a gimmick wasting time. If you wanted to do gimmick content then dungeons exist and no one does them because of their confirmed bad design.

if not try complete CM - Snowden drm not have any issues. It is a little bit longer -yes. That's all.

On the one hand it's good that DRM CMs vary in difficulty but they should also be adequate to the rewards they are tied to, in which case it has to be changed.

today again take my best dps, for solo, choose only 1 cm mode for time, on start make all prerequest (quagans, fire, mobs)start and not finish in time. Timer was fade on 20%.Diuring fight ofc not die, not teleported or stuned.But anyway, this is not very very bad issue. Ok, hust knwo it and don't choose time CM

That's true, too, of course. The weapon drop rate is lousy, so that's not an incentive to do them.

And the fact that you must have finished 1 fire and 1 ice mission to receive the respective buff (which only lasts 1 hour!) in order to be able to farm another mission of the kind for crystals (which you need to craft the other sets) is indeed a bad design. At least make the buff last 12 hours so that you won't have to do unrewarding missions only to receive the buffs for the remaining missions.

thats what build swapping out of combat is perfect for, i can solo snowden 3CM on a pure dps build, i know when the enemies will spawn in the escort so switch to a build full of swiftness etc then switch back before any fighting. i have over 9 minutes every time i get to the final fight.
