any good condition builds?

hi so i finished path of fire and am now running around heart of thorns (damn this place is a pain in the arse to navigate) got second glider skill and mushroom bounce.

ive got all ranks in scrapper and running around easily killing groups with flamethrower (great to tag) but im bored now of power scrapper, so is there a fun condi build, that i can use while collecting hollosmith?

well found one that is hybrid so still use flamethrower and get to play with pistols. love pistol 3, it gives memories of confusion spam and mobs in hot and pof spam skills.

atm though im on a thief, for pistol fun, while i raise points for rifle mastery.. its so sad how every classs that can use guns, does so, so much better than engi :(

Get griffon or skyscale. Without, HoT maps are blah. With, they are almost fun.

thanks, back on my engineer, thief pew pew is fun, but i missed pressing all the buttons my engineer juggles

Condi core is boring on engineer. Pistol just sucks. The damage is not THAT bad but it's a painful process to get all the conditions up with needing to use tool belt skills and swap kits and pew pew a little with the pistol.

Very underwhelming.

Check out Lord Hizen on youtube. He has a condi holosmith build that is quite fun. I prefer it to power scrapper.

Not underwhelmilng at all. I use to have dificulty with power builds doing Balthazar personal story, while with my condi trailblazer engi it was easy, I didnt need the Rytlock sword, just p/p with flamethrower, and was more fun.

PvE story is designed for skill-clicking newbies with masterwork armor.

tried few builds (not holo yet) scrapper hammer kills easy and fast, but i didnt make an engineer to be a warrior wanabe... core engi is ok, but omg does engi kill slow.. though think i may be ruined after playing a reaper that blinks and stuff dies.

I gave that up long ago. A chronorune all-gyro hammer scrapper with near permaquickness and constant 3-12k barrier is just so much smoother overall and lets you focus all attention on the actual fight rather than playing piano on your keyboard. Not to mention it offer tons more group support, relative to being a full zerker build (so much cleanse comboing). It doesnt have the punch of a zerker reaper, but I find the balance between sustain and damage better.

Having so much superspeed is great for DRMs too, the escort NPCs become so fast they literally run away from you, lol.

going back to scrapper flamer, while i get rest of holo

Condi engis are the worst condi builds ever for OW.So we take a look to condi engie DPS : Explosions, so we need a Pole Boss and bombs kit, grenades kit, and RNG so we need a lot of strikes and luck; plus pistols are just ... limp, boring. It could be fun and effective, with players supporting you, in group instance.

But in OW you just want to relax and chain mobs fast; you don't want to spam 20 keys, remember every CD, ...just to kill a boar, then an other boar, etc.You have some gimmick build with Holo to apply a lot of burning with overheat and Solar lens, that's fun, for a time ... then you just play power holo because it's the same build and gameplay, but more efficient.

Playing Condi Engie is Masochism, or marginality as "No it's wrong, I play condi scrapper and I have a lot fun killing a mob in 20sec; I don't like to kill mobs too fast without fighting for my life" but let be honest, you say that the first ten hours maximum, then you change build and gear for something more effective, and fun.

yeh i went back to power scrapper and can jump into large event groups of mobs and kill them all fine, with no danger. made a second engineer just to try Holosmith, as it was far faster than trying to het all the hot hero points.not to impressed by holo so far, the overheat is odd, sometimes it rockets up, sometimes its slow. sometimes i come out of holo and heat disperses fast, then suddenly heat never shrinks when out of holo.

I play condi core engi in open world all the time. It melts mobs and it has plenty of tools to help it survive. Regen, big boomer, backpack regenerator, compounding chemicals. Super elixir... you've got sustain for days. This is the setup I use.

I haven't had any trouble surviving with this, and the damage it puts out is insane. Especially aganst tankier mobs.
