So i havent done fractals (CMs and t4's) in around 2 years which was back when druid + chrono was meta. Has the new FB + Alac ren meta made pug runs easier?

Yes, there's higher average quickness and alacrity uptime because firebrand + renegade are easier than chrono.
Also the party aegis on firebrand is far more often than the party invuln on chrono which was changed to party aegis.
In the past two years or so we have had multiple fractals added however including Deepstone (2018), Siren's Reef (2019), and Sunqua Peak (2020).
