Murdock.6547
Maybe I am a weirdo, but power damage is boring to fight against for me.It either hits you and you lose x health or it doesnt and you lose no health.Conditions are far more intersting. You can dodge their application, cleanse them, or outright heal through them.Long duration low damage condis add a fear of inevitability, short duration high damage ones add panic. But both add extra tension that could greatly enhance pve.Not to mention some classes have fun tools to play with condis. such a malyx rev and the entirety of necromancer.I cannot fathom why we have so few condition focused fights. TexZero.7910
I mean, sloth, xera, sabatha, mathias, escort, trio and i'm sure more have conditions that play integral roles and are very harmful if not handled correctly.
Murdock.6547
Escort and trio never struck me as condi heavy.. But even if we count those, thats a handful of encounters in a game with nearly countless battles... Though now that I really think, the season story had a fair bit of condi pressure and new mobs in POF had not only condis, but boons as well.So I guess theyre already experimenting with this idea and I will say I hope to see more (so long as it makes sense thematically for the mob or boss)
BrokenGlass.9356
Agreed. I'd love to see mobs capable of player-like boons, and conditions... Condi transfer, boom corruption, block, evades and whatnot.Though I admit that's hard to balance. If one mob is as tough as a player.... What happem when you accidentally pull 6 of them? Just die? So I acknowledge that I'm asking alot of the design team. But... I want what I want anyway despite those challenges.
Murdock.6547
I mean the mobs had only a handful of buffs at a time and they applied maybe one condi if any.Not to mention mob attacks are muuch more telling and easier to deal with.
