I updated the build with some of your advice. Anyone able to make higher burn ticks?

You make a very good point about Vipers gear for longer condition duration. It certainly is something I am investigating at the moment. Perhaps the biggest reason I went Sinister gear is because the Firebrand has so many ways to apply burning, if it gets cleansed the next couple times burn is reapplied it will still hurt a lot. Even on small stacks. Condition burst would be the best way to describe it. Also now with bleeding we can duke/fake out the condition cleanses done by others. Then load up the burns with lots of different skills all the while buffed with quickness. Plus I am also considering fire fields in conjunction with the great swords word whirl finisher.

700 a tick on two second apply. Gonna be pretty heckin' good in PvE. Specially in raids I'd imagine. As certain bosses spam adds on those bosses your F1 will always be off cooldown and the one spam on that can stack considerable amounts of burn. If you can maintain 30k+ ticks (which is probably going to be very possible) it's gonna be insane.

Since we will have it for awhile might as well as enjoy it! Though, the amount of instant burn you'll be able to stack is immense and has me worried. Worried that on release we will find ourselves with a class that can spit out stupid amounts of damage, but is itself stuck with a few flawed mechanics or clunky gameplay in general. Then the latter will be ignored while the former will receive reduction in effectiveness. If they do that it won't be that bad just unappreciated as I really, really want to play firebrand outside of PvE; since WvW and sPvP need fluid gameplay.

Still excited regardless of possible doomsday theory!

I guess there are two drawbacks. Firstly what we need to realise is that the amount of pages we have could be limiting to our burn damage potential. Secondly the range and radius of our burn tick application skills are often extremely close and narrow in regards to attacking a target. So in theory we as Firebrands can make builds with amazing burn ticks like 812.50 damage, but in practice it will be incredibly difficult to pull off in every situation or battle.
