PoF Expansion Box Release?

The new expansion is (almost) a week away. Will PoF have a box release in stores? If so, I'd rather buy the box edition. If not, I don't want to miss out on the pre-order stuff. A heads-up would be appreciated.

It seems PoF might have a box on release, but nothing confirmed, it seems more likely that it will stick to just digital purchase.

I appreciate the effort. I guess I'm looking for an official response or confirmed facts. The website for my local retailer(s) does not have the expansion listed yet. If the expansion will only be a digital download, then I'll go ahead and purchase it. But again, I'd rather make a traditional purchase if given the option. It sucks to be in limbo knowing that I might miss out on pre-purchase extras for something that might not happen... :/

I'm in your same situation, waiting to see if boxes start popping up around nearby stores.

If they don't soon, I'll go digital, but I'm sad because I love having boxes :'(.

In germany, you can order a boxed-version at amazon or at bücher.de. But i don't know about other countries.

I'm pretty sure in this case "primarily" was their way of gently putting that there will be no boxed copies for sale, and what they meant was it will only be available as a digital download. I mean, it launches in a week, if there's no word on this by now, there isn't going to be any.

Last year I was burned by their boxed versions.

Got myself a pre-order box, because I thought it was the only one that will get released and ended up with a cheap box and a code in it. Totaly not worth it.They later released the game in a box and a DVD, which would have been my prefered version.

I guess they really stopped with that and I am very sad about that development.

So yeah, it's a bummer, but understandable.

So what is the thing you can buy in Germany then? It doesn't look like a digital code...

It's probably just a case with the GW2: POF logo on it, with a piece of paper and the code inside.
