Can I not delete posts?

On a few occasions I've gotten tripped up trying to quote or edit a post and accidentally submitted an extra post. Is there not a way to delete my posts? If so, I think that's kind of a glaring omission.

Check out Gaile's "How To" post in the forums. Deletions are disabled for members, but posts can be edited to "Removed/Redacted" within the editing window available (changed recently). If you miss the editing window or want to see the post deleted entirely, you can "Report" your own post and choose the "Other" reason and indicate why (accident, duplicate, etc.).
