What is your opinion on Vampiric Presence?

I'm not voting. My opinion is that Blood Magic has some nifty ideas that don't work in practice (all of the numbers are way too small). So while I like it concept, I'd never build for it.

Ideally something thats more selfish to necro personal sustain
a small % of critical damage returned as hp would be nice 10-15 maybe.Make the minor vamp triat do the same thing but from all damage on a even smaller % scale something like 2-3% of all outgoing power damageCondition builds should not be able to make use of this unless they go pure glass as curses has a trait for healing based of condi damage.

Anet can't balance life stealing. Hasn't been able to for a decade. Would prefer an offensive unique buff.

Can we have grace of the land?

I believe that blood magic shouldn't be the support traitline and should be the defense/survivability trailine instead. They should work around the death magic traitline so that it's the support traitline. Anyway "do away with the life stealing" as it is now it's cr*p.

Blood Magic is not a good enough trait line to go down, not as bad as Death Magic (excluding MM-builds but who does that) but not worth investing in. When I talk about fixing/adressing "core" -Necro these 2 Trait lines is my main concern.

there is ONLY ONE good trait and that's the Well Siphon + protection in the entire traitline...

numbers are too low across the board... Phatetic regen ? 30+ health/hit ? the entire trait line is a joke....

Life stealing should scale exclusively with healing power and its scaling should be improved. This split identity of life stealing hasn't been working. And those arguing that that would make life stealing too powerful I just would like to counter that by saying that getting max healing power compared to max power you'd still be dealing far less damage with a life stealing build than a raw power build by the thousands.

Its good as it is. Cant say how it would turn out if they would buff numbers. Also blood magic is good traitline, duno where all the hate comes from. Numbers might seem small, but they are many.

The damage done by vampiric aura should be 10x of the current life steal amount. And should be able to crit.

imo lifesteal should be able to crit.

I was thinking that Blood could be the Support Trait Line that you could use with Scourge.

Was thinking something like:

• Ritual of Life (for ressing) or Blood Bond (for Raid Heals)
• Vampiric Presence (DPS increase and Raid Heals)
• Vampiric Rituals (Wells for Protection and Heals) not sure how Transfusion would work with the Shades

But the Healing, and the Shades, should scale with your Healing Stat, would work nice with all the Healing Condi gear you get in PoF.

If the healing part alone got buffed it would be a nice support trait line for a support class.. But as it is atm.. it's naf for true support.

The concept of it is fine, the numbers are just way too small. They could triple its output and people still would be questioning if it was worth taking.

Leave numbers as they are, maybe buff them a little bit. And change vampiric presence to affect 10 people instead of 5. That might be a good addition for support scourges. Or just change it to: affect 10 people, while having barrier, dmg and life-siphon is doubled
