Soulbound issue

Is there a way to use a soulbound weapon in a crafting recipe if it's soulbound to a different character than the one who has the crafting discipline needed for the recipe? I'm trying to make a tenebrous rifle, but I can't seem to be able to get the guild sharp shot into my huntsman character's inventory. Do I really have to get another seven guild commendations just to buy a second one so that I can craft with it?

Some (all?) crafting recipes will use some items directly from the bank; have you tried that? Or checked the Wiki?

It isn't working; says I don't have one.

Then, it looks like you may have to acquire another. Or, contact the CS Team via the 'Support' link; there's a possibility they could assist you.

I wish they would have given me an indication that I would have to soulbind it to a character that can't actually use it in order to craft with it. Atrocious design.

You can use items in crafting that are in the bank, so it shouldnt be issue. But you cant take it out

It's unfortunately not the only example of this. Whether it is an oversight or design I'm not sure, but you will need another one. I had this a while back with a lunar backpack which was soulbound to an alt sitting in my bank, but wouldn't show in my scribes crafting panel.

PoF also has some jewellery which I unlocked in some specialisation collections which are all soulbound on acquire. I have a whole set which I unlocked by chance and now I can't do anything but bin them since I can't transfer them.

Well, I sent in a support ticket. We'll see if they get to it in the 3 weeks+ it will take me to get the damned guild commendations back in order to rebuy the rifle that I already have. With crafting the way it is in this game, why the hell did they remove the option to move soulbound items onto different characters?

Hmm.. this sounds more like a customer support issue than anything. Just file a ticket.
