Plz allow holosmith to pick things while in photon forge

I agree, would be nice if they could change this.

You also can't mount up while in PF.

The problem is that it's technically considered a transform, so all transform rules apply.

Being unable to mount makes sense, because otherwise you would be able to escape overheat by getting quick on you mount. But yes, being unable to use items or structures is horrible.

I totally empathize, especially since you can't even pick up Reflective Crystals in Solid Ocean Fractal to save your life while in Photon Forge mode. However, since PF is essentially a kit with a six-second forced lock-out, ANet would have to do some significant coding changes to prevent players from exploiting certain core aspects of switching into PF, e.g. Solar Focusing Lens.

Interesting... I noticed we ARE able to pick up the wvw first aid kit (at sentry posts) during photon forge mode. When you pick it, you'll have first aid skills on 1-5 but forge mode ticks on the background if it was up, upon cancelling (or reactivating) forge you'll maintain the first aid kit skills.
