Is anyone noticing it feels different this year. It might well be a years lack of practice, but the snowflakes are disappearing quicker it seems and often before anyone reaches them

Yes it was in patch notes, it's changed to easy, medium and hard difficulty.. quaggans being the easiest one where snowflakes don't disappear.

Makes sense, cheers for the answer. I did the read the patch notes, but my eyes can't focus well on reading on screen text so I missed it when scanning it

I really like the idea of having three different paths with different difficulty. I think it is a nice addition for people who are not very good at jumping puzzles.

I just ran all 3 paths, and I honestly couldn't tell the difference between either of them, other than maybe length until the first safe platform.

You can tell which path you are running via the new icon you get above skill 6.

I like it. :)

I've done this jumping puzzle so many times that I could complete it without trouble most of the time, but I appreciate the option to pick an easier path if I'm tired or distracted or otherwise don't feel entirely up to the challenge. And then I can go for the harder ones when I want to focus on it.

What are the differences between the easy, medium, and hard rewards though?

I think it is 5, 10 and 15 gifts. At least, I got 15 for the one at the far left which I'm pretty sure was the hard one

I think the gingerbread man path is actually harder than in previous years. Your health goes down noticeably faster and the platforms decay quicker. So for people who always picked that one they've actually made it harder.

Agreed. I can rationalise my anger now too lol

I adore that my specialty path, the one I've done exclusively for all these years is the hard path. I can almost do it with my eyes closed, so I look forward to all the extra returns, whatever those might be...

Correct.

I just hope that Gingerbread isn't much harder than it was. That route has been hardcoded into my muscle memory now; I don't want to have to learn a new route. Still, this is a good change. Hopefully we see something similar for Mad Kings Clocktower next year.

It's not clocktower level harder, but you will need to be quicker and survive a little bad luck

How easy is the Quaggan? Is it still time gated, or can you take your time? Does it count as 'completing the puzzle' for achievement purposes, like Winter's Presence collection?

You have much more time to do it and the snowflakes don't disappear.
