Weaver: quantity over quality (PVP)

Okay so now there are zero "great" builds in the category. Why? Weaver doesn't excel anywhere--it tries being a jack-of-all-trades. You get a lot of build possibilities but due to the nature of other meta builds or other strong builds in general, these Weaver builds end up flopping in several departments. If you spec for damage the scale vacuums towards damage, making every other role weak. If you spec for point holding, every other department becomes a lot weaker. Why isn't it like Mirage where it has strong damage, mobility, and sustain? Or why not like Scourge where it has strong damage but not utterly glassy?

We're given a plethora of skills (dual skills), yet most of these are very similar to each other and don't really offer too much. Scepter dual skills are all offense, dagger is pretty much all offense, staff is a mix but the restorative dual skills are meh, sword dual skills are also offense. They don't nearly do enough to support Weaver, they're way too offensive and unbalanced.

Point holding only works with sword due to water 2 and earth 2, plus Twist of Fate. Dagger is weird, staff is weird and only works on stationary enemies (RIP staff working in PVP), Scepter just goes full on out on offense and ignores sustain entirely.

Yep, but they don't care. Remember when they tried to make Tempest an elite skill but it was refreshing the auto attack so instead of fixing it they gave it an aura? At Anet the artists do an amazing job, so they make beautiful icons and particle effects, but then when it's the time to actually work on the gameplay the devs just fuck it up royally. They need to hire devs that are specialist in gameplay.
