You should do smt to make things less stressful to you players. This one step forward, one step backwards point system, while MM isn't great, need some adjustments.

Give more points to people when they win by a large margin, and take less point from people when they lose by a small margin. Don't need to change the other scenarios.

As it is right now, where you win for a really good close match the same amount that you lose in a blowout, things are boring, unfair and really burnt people out.

When your matchmaking is optimized, then fine, make it +12 -12 or whatever.
