Chorne.8195
I've been working on this Sylvari-themed mural for four months, on and off. When my grandma found out I was painting on the wall in my new bedroom she was livid, but it's done now on one wall. I started with sketches, ( https://imgur.com/FpdoMcT ) and then I moved on to painting. ( https://imgur.com/92q7yCl , https://imgur.com/fRG9eQ5 ). I'm now going to move onto the second wall of my bedroom, which is going to have an Asura theme. I hope to have a GW2 bedroom by the end of the year. Chorne.8195
I'm also going to buy some of those leaf-things from Ikea to put on my bed to give the room a foresty vibe, and I bought a couple fake plants at the dollar store to give it some decoration. StinVec.3621
I've just now discovered your thread on your creation. I really like your concept and the design so far. The hue differences in the layering on the fern hound's is nicely done.Your plant details are also quite imaginative, but still keep with the sylvari aesthetic. I don't believe that to be an easy task. It seems to be quite hard to do sylvari-themed plant design, but to also avoid it turning into "Dr. Seuss, plant edition".I love to see GW2 mural/home decoration artwork - especially sylvari-themed.Have you managed any progress on your other walls? An asura magitech mural would be quite something to see as I do love the idea of a blend of Mayan/Aztek-inspired structure design with technological inner workings that are powered by a form of magic (glowing elements being a given, I think). Chorne.8195
I actually didn't end up doing an asuran themed wall because I got a pet parrot, and I can't use the paints I used to make the mural anymore, as the fumes from them might not be good for him. I ended up going with more of a general forest aesthetic and got green curtains and a green and blue carpet, and a moss-colored ottoman. The light in there is green in the daytime, so it ended up being pretty cool.I have done some small Guild Wars artworks on canvas, but I've moved onto my own projects and a few commissions recently so I only have a couple.
