Plautze.6290
Hey folks!I just noticed to my dismay that the Hunter Experiment seems to be more material-expensive than, say, the Experimental Daysword. Barrel: 30 DeldriStock: 30 SpiritwoodWhile:Daysword Blade: 15 DeldriDaysword Hilt: 15 DeldriEither I missed something, like rifle being massively OP and thereby justifying the higher cost or that's just unbalanced?Any input is appreciated! Holykitten.3064
According to gw2efficiency, the final cost for The Hunter and Dawn is roughly the same. The material costs must be in different places.

The Gift of The Hunter/Gift of Sunrise comes after you’ve made the precursor and separate. You are only looking at the crafting costs of the Tier 1 precursor, there’s two other stages, to go. Tanner Blackfeather.6509
Looking through all three tiers, The Hunter uses 39 Deldrimor Steel and 38 Spiritwood Planks.Dusk uses 90 Deldrimor Steel and no Spiritwood.
Ayrilana.1396
Wood has always been more expensive than metal. One reason you’ll see the imbalance is because you can salvage both weapon and armor for metal but only weapons for wood. I also want to say that metal nodes are more numerous but that’s more based on observation.

Plautze.6290
Thanks for the insight! So I'll keep farming happily to reach the Deldrimor steel count =)
