Give us PvP rewards (Champions Burning Swords)

It's unfair that the PvP community have their own unique reward system where they can earn tons of gold and cool effects above their characters while the competitive WvW mode doesn't offer anything like it. You are practically throwing gold at the PvP players, even through the pip reward track they earn 100+ gold if they repeat it while in WvW you don't earn any gold at all.

You can easily add those type of rewards in WvW, the gold and the effect over head (Champions Burning Swords, Winter Crown etc). Now that you show kill death ratio in game, you can reward the server with the most kills from all matchups in all tiers with an effect above their heads in their next matchup. Then servers will have something to kill for and other servers will know that they have to watch out for that server with those effects. This reward will ofc rotate when another server have more kills in another matchup and so on. This will also give servers back their pride when they can run around knowing their server is the best at fighting and everyone can see it.

You can have the same for servers who gain most PPT and highest war score in a matchup. These are just some examples, but it's so easy to implement rewards into WvW that actually would make people strive a bit. But who am I kidding, it took you 5 years to realize that mounts would earn you money ...

WvW gets a buttload Of Ascended Materials and other crafting materials (all of which can be sold for gold) just from Skirmish Rewards.

Why do WvW players a plethora of Ascended Crafting Materials and other valuable crafting materials through the WvW pip system? Or get sellable items such as Siege/Dyes in WvW Skirmish chest? Or the fact that WvW players don’t get interrupted rewards from Pips Rewards. Hmm all of which is equivalent to gold, funny you disregard those rewards in your “comparison”.

Might want to make a good argument with all relevant facts first.

You're not very smart are you. You get 65+ gold from PvP pip chests. You also get at least 18 dyes from first to last PvP pip chest. Then you have the daily ATs where you can get hundreds of hundreds of gold by playing them every day and night. And you have something to strive for, a monthly AT with great rewards. You get 500!!! gold for winning it and a NEW EFFECT EVERY MONTH above your character to flash around in all game modes whenever you want. Did I miss something?

Show me how anything in WvW equates to Pvp ATs/Monthly AT, oh right nothing in WvW even comes close to those.

And he amount of materials and uninterrupted Reward farming in WvW is on par with the liquid gold that League Pvp receives, again come back when you have a decent argument with all variables. /thread.

WvW has allot more expense to run than spvp, especially if you're in a wvw guild.

You're not very smart are you. You get 65+ gold from PvP pip chests. You also get at least 18 dyes from first to last PvP pip chest. Then you have the daily ATs where you can get hundreds of hundreds of gold by playing them every day and night. And you have something to strive for, a monthly AT with great rewards. You get 500!!! gold for winning it and a NEW EFFECT EVERY MONTH above your character to flash around in all game modes whenever you want. Did I miss something?

Show me how anything in WvW equates to Pvp ATs/Monthly AT, oh right nothing in WvW even comes close to those.

WvW is a competitive game mode where servers and guilds fight eachother every day just like in PvP where you have players fighting other players in a competitive game mode, but in this game mode (PvP) you're actually rewarded for winning. You can compare AT with a WvW matchup, where you reward the server with the most amount of kills or the highest war score with insert reward here.

You're calling WvW for "open world PvE", which is wrong. Open world PvE is another game mode where you fight against the environment, not other players. When you don't understand the basics I'm not sure why I bother answering you. (It's honestly just to keep this thread at the top in the WvW section).

WvW is not a Comparable mode or environment to AT/Monthly AT, what bracket what rewards what incentives, also in WvW you can essentially AFK and only leave spawn/keep to keep participation up it isn’t indivdual based or team based especially when coming to rankings, let’s not forget about the huge disparity between server populations which leads to huge imbalances something you don’t see in AT/Monthly AT since those are 5v5 no more no less.

Again WvW is equivalent to Open World PvE which is a Zerg fest for loot( you can’t even attempt to say it’s not, history and the game proves otherwise). Everyone knows it’s true, there is no competition in WvW it’s only competitive in the sense that players can kill other players, which players don’t even have to do to get max rewards in WvW they can essentially afk for and only participate once every 10 minutes to get full rewards once they max Participation, and they get rewarded with their Participation rewards.

So again show me how WvW is equivalent to ATs/ Monthly AT and why it deserves equivalent rewards. He facts show WvW is nowhere near competitive as ATs let alone the Monthly you know where you need X amount of AT tokens to even be eligible to participate in the Monthly let alone get rewards.

If you can’t see how they are in no way shape or form equivalent there is no help for you.

You're not very smart are you. You get 65+ gold from PvP pip chests. You also get at least 18 dyes from first to last PvP pip chest. Then you have the daily ATs where you can get hundreds of hundreds of gold by playing them every day and night. And you have something to strive for, a monthly AT with great rewards. You get 500!!! gold for winning it and a NEW EFFECT EVERY MONTH above your character to flash around in all game modes whenever you want. Did I miss something?

Show me how anything in WvW equates to Pvp ATs/Monthly AT, oh right nothing in WvW even comes close to those.

And he amount of materials and uninterrupted Reward farming in WvW is on par with the liquid gold that League Pvp receives, again come back when you have a decent argument with all variables. /thread.

WvW is not a Comparable mode or environment to AT/Monthly AT, what bracket what rewards what incentives, also in WvW you can essentially AFK and only leave spawn/keep to keep participation up it isn’t indivdual based or team based especially when coming to rankings, let’s not forget about the huge disparity between server populations which leads to huge imbalances something you don’t see in AT/Monthly AT since those are 5v5 no more no less.

I don't care if a wiseass random dude on the forums is saying WvW isn't competitive. I'm trying to reach out to the developers and the so called "WvW team" to take a look at this. How much gold do you spend on PvP a month to stay relevant? WvW is a much bigger gold sink than PvP.

I WvW more than I PvP and I spend zero gold in WvW to stay Relevant, funny how that works right? Between Skirmish Rewards and The WvW provisioner I spend absolutely nothing on siege and food. Wow such haxors

Do you or have you scribed for a guild for wvw, or do you just run with the zerg?

I think the rewards on the PvP tournament and WvW skirmish tracks end up being pretty close in value for effort made. I can blow through the WvW chests in a day or two every week but the PvP track takes me a lot longer to get through before the last chest repeats. The only change I would like to see is to add tickets or a small amount of gold when repeating the diamond chest. Those of us who end up going through that several times a week would be happy to get it.

As for the nifty effects. It would be nice if they came up with something (other than those ugly obsidian weapons) for the wvw players, but I'd rather they put their development efforts some place else.

i like the idea of having effects if you win at something. ex. in costume brawl, winning give you a crown. could be doable per skirmosh
