So I wasn't hallucinating that this was a new thing?While I generally consider the hearts in PoF to drag on a little long, it's not a bad way to keep someone on a map for more than a minute. And rep quests tend to have events around them, so it's not a bad change. :)

The first time I saw 'Taskmaster' as a daily. Basically, do a heart in the specified zone.

One of the possible PvE dailies is to finish a heart in the Elon Riverlands. I also got the Vista for that area in my mix. I wound up spending a bunch of time there last night between working on map completion and the Griffon tasks there.

I was very happy to see this! Not only did it give me a reason to return and play around in the desert (which has been feeling like a big waste of space lately) but it was much less painful than running around trying to find active events. I even ended up staying and puttering around in the desert for a while. ^^

Me too, or me three or four. Making it an achievement takes away a bit of the boring grind of re-doing a heart.

Not only that, but when I was doing my taskmaster daily, there was an honest to goodness doppleganger event happening! I enjoyed seeing that. :)

I have to admit that I audibly sighed and thought "Ugh, I have to do one of those hearts again?!" when I saw it. But, at the same time, I think it's a good way to bring players back to those zones, even if it's just for a few minutes at a time.

Honestly, a bit of karma and a bit of mastery xp doesn't entice me to go back to Elona.

No, it isn't. It is simply another way to lose a bit of time in those areas because the devs did not add any content fun or worthy of getting done.

The Dev could not make 'Taskmaster', or, at least not Renown Hearts, a Daily in Core Tyria, as they are not repeatable. I think they already have the other possibilities in Core Tyria.
