i had experienced that seeing friends as generic models, and my friend seeing me as a generic model. the fix for us was to set (Graphics Options) Character Model Quality to Highest and Character Model Limit to anything other than Lowest.

EDIT: unfortunately if others, like strangers on the openworld/cities, have set every settings possible to Low/Lowest (and standard models set) there will be that one person who'll always see you as that generic black shadow person with generic armour

Item: Sun-Blessed Vision (The new head slot cosmetic acquired from the annual achievement);
Race: Asura/All Races (Asura is featured in the screenshot, confirmed to be a problem on humans as well. I believe it's safe to assume this happens to all races);
Profession: Light/All Professions (Same as with races, light elementalist is featured in the screenshot, but confirmed on other professions and weights as well);
Sex: Female/All (A female asura is in the screenshot, every other character that confirmed the issue, coincidentally, happened to be female. I'm about 97.5% sure this is an issue on males as well);
Problem: The Sun-Blessed Vision cosmetic has drastically different glow intensity in the wardrobe and preview windows compared to the in-world appearance, to the point where the in-world appearance can become a deal-breaker, which is the case for my outfit. The asura I plan(ned?) to use it on is the best, most visible example of this issue thanks to the size of her eyes. To the left is the wardrobe tab, in the center is the in-world appearance. If you would be so kind, I would appreciate a fix to this problem that will make the in-world version just as bright as the preview/wardrobe one.

Problem: I can't seem to dye my gliders anymore. I can change the colour and 'apply' but when I leave the dye tab and re-enter, then the colour has been reset. I added some screenshots with the Lightbinder Blades glider. But it occurs with every glider.
I already tried to repair the client but this didn't work
I have made a seperate discussion and a ticket but nothing seems to work/help. I hope this will bring up something that can help

Sun Blessed Vision has a number of anomalies. It does not show up on the character select screen or in the total makeover kit preview--it's as if there is no headpiece equipped. It also floats slightly ABOVE the eyes on the female charr lynx face (the one Vishen Steelshot has), instead of over the eyes.
I play as Sylvari. I bought and supplied myself with Polysaturating Reverberating Infusion - Gray. Why isn't my character's hair cut like others? I have attached pictures for comparison. The human race character has Infusion outline his head and hair. Even if you turn on the display of the helmet, the infusion outlines only parts of the helmet, the hair remains without a stroke
Is my character's hair not hair? It spoils the general appearance of the character very much

Hello, I agree with Proximus.5489 about being catfished by the Char's character model. It's very disappointing to see so many variations of the char drawn and modeled standing upright. However, in game it seems as though its parents didn't teach the char correct posture. It's back is extremely bent, and I thought I was the only one who had this opinion. It's awesome to see someone else share the same sentiment.
I hope the developers take this into consideration for the next patch. Though the developers may take these posts as a joke, I hope they listen to their players about redesigning the Char to match the original concept art and model, with the back at 19 degrees bent rather than 37 degrees.
Item: Mystic Infusion
Race: all
Profession: all
Gender: all
Hello, I'm currently playing with couple of infusions and I found out an Visual bug in the game with Mystic Infusion which pops up due to stacking / unstacking of infusions. In my account I have two legendary backpacks and all the legendary trinkets loaded with 6x aurilium infusions on rings (Conflux and Coalescence) , 1x Koda's Warmth Enrichment on Transcendence, 1x Mystic infusion on an accessory (Aurora), 1x Polysaturating Reverberating Infusion (Gray) on accessory (Vision), 1x Ember Infusion + 1x Polyluminescent Undulating Infusion (Orange) on the backpack Warbringer, 1x Snow Diamond and 1x Winter's Heart Infusion on the backpack Ascension. I usually equip one backpack and all the rest of the trinkets will be equipped every time. When I swap backpacks the Mystic infusion effect stays on with ember + orange in the warbringer. When I swap backpack to Ascension, Mystic infusion effect goes away and only snow diamond + winters heart effect will be turned on. When I unequip and reequip the trinket Aurora (which has Mystic infusion) the effect turns back on. I have taken screenshots and posted them below as well. https://imgur.com/a/wsTE5Z2

The bug is with the chest piece itself.When holding weapons that bend the waist exp sword,scepter,greatsword etc a hole can be seen between the cleavage.This hole only penetrates the body because if i wear a long cape i can see its colour instead of probably the ground or a wall.
first pic is the body type
second pic is a second spot in the armor (cleavage again) that also is missing metal

Item: Koda's Warmth Enrichment
Race: Charr
Profession: Warrior
Gender: Male
All Pics here: https://imgur.com/a/yF27sDm
Video for further proof:
From the video, it is evident that the Koda's Warmth effect is functional and visible on my character, albeit somewhat weaker than with other characters and not even slightly visible under heavier armor. This can be seen in the pictures as I took pictures with and without armor and even two different armor sets. It is quite frustrating as it is no small task to acquire this Enrichment. It has been mentioned that this effect was patched at some point in the past, though. This can be seen on the wiki page and on pictures which are also on the wiki page.
So either my charr is bugged or the effect needs further revision in order to appear satisfactorily prominently on larger character models. And I'm not sure but I do not think that the effect is supposed to be this weak and even without any armor.
A few days ago I've bought the Jora outfit in the gem store. Now I noticed that the shape of the female breasts, when waring the outfit, - especially from the side - looks very strange.
To check if this appearance is limited to the Jora outfit, I took a screenshot of my character in this outfit and one in another outfit. The orientation of the camera in the room was identical when I took both screenshots. In the appendix I marked the bug and the correct representation of the breast shape.
I would be really happy if you could fix this bug, because it is simply really annoying on such a beautifully designed outfit.
The breasts are kinda baked into the female character model and the outfits sometimes modify the shapes in different ways. The norn especially have some thicc girls.

Problem: Even after repairing the client my cape seems to be missing the texture for the cloth.
Problem - The Glint's Gaze mask does not sit right on my Sylvari Female.
It would seem that this graphical glitch is on one face of the
female race when you look into character re-customization.
I have other screenshot of other players using the Glint's Gaze mask
. Here is how my character looks and you can see the problem I am having on the
. graphical side and I am not sure what else is causing it. And you can see the Female
. Sylvari face I am using. The face for my character that I am using is circled in red.
Here is a screenshot of how the Glint's Gaze mask is suppose to look on a player's character.
These are pictures of player's characters that are not mine but the Glint's Gaze mask is displayed
correctly in game.
Please correct this for my character so the mask looks like the way it is suppose to like it does on the two pictures on the bottom and for other players with this Sylvari face option using the Glint's Gaze Mask will not have this problem.
Item - Tempest Gaze
Race - Human/Charr - at least
Gender - Male (so far)
Class - Any
It would appear the dye channels are different for different armour weights (not sure if it's meant to be!) - they may need tweaking.
I have it on both my guardian and ele, both with white eyes and blue lightning.
On my Guardian I have to put the top left and bottom right as one colour, and the top right and bottom left as the other to achieve this.
On my Ele I have to put the top and bottom left as one colour, and the top and bottom right as the other colour to achieve this.
Also, is it just me or are the dyes not symmetrical in terms of hue/intensity etc.
See attached. The character's left eye (so the one we see on the right when looking straight on) seems darker than the left. Makes it hard to find a design that's not just one block colour when using them. Seems to be more predominant in the centre of the eye.
Could this please be checked? (The second issue moreso, the first is just something to get used to)
Miss Lana posted this thread https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/121778/lighting-issues-with-hair-kits#latest (and I posted in it). Inculpatus Cedo points out that it might get more ANet eyes in here, so ... I'm helping! (short version, Elonan hair has very odd white splashes/slashes/sparkles in it in preview, though not once in the world).

Although i understand the majority of Players won't pay much mind to this, some (though few) like me will take notice upon years of gameplay and roleplay wise, specially when we settle for a look fitting of our own Character.
The following examples accure upon three of my own Charr characters; Two of which had never been known of any Clipping Issues until recent releases of the newest GW2 Chapter, Icebrewed Saga.
For the longest time i've played and created these characters, none had ever gotten any clipping issues, which later became a pretty notable part on their whole appearance after the recent additions to the game, hence causing some body types (though mostly noticed upon Male Charr Body Types) to clip through certain pieces of armor.
The image provided is an example of these Clipping issues, which ruined the whole appearance after having worn it for years:
Please if anyone of the Dev's or model fixers can take a moment to look into this, we'd appreciate a fix for these bodies considering they never had clipping issues until recent days. I hope this gets to you ANET.
Comments
i tried the outfit on the other chars, there it work, just sylvari race have a issue.

@Drizzt.1796 I'm so heartbroken. I love this skin. I've used it since launch but I absolutely hate the gloves from that set.
Item: All of them
Race: Charr
Profession: Irrelevant
Sex: Both
Problem: Everything clips. And don't fall back on, well the race isn't popular so we don't want to allocate resources. You put the race in the game, support it.
Item: Sun-Blessed Vision (The new head slot cosmetic acquired from the annual achievement);
Race: Asura/All Races (Asura is featured in the screenshot, confirmed to be a problem on humans as well. I believe it's safe to assume this happens to all races);
Profession: Light/All Professions (Same as with races, light elementalist is featured in the screenshot, but confirmed on other professions and weights as well);
Sex: Female/All (A female asura is in the screenshot, every other character that confirmed the issue, coincidentally, happened to be female. I'm about 97.5% sure this is an issue on males as well);
Problem: The Sun-Blessed Vision cosmetic has drastically different glow intensity in the wardrobe and preview windows compared to the in-world appearance, to the point where the in-world appearance can become a deal-breaker, which is the case for my outfit.
I can't seem to be able to list the imgur picture in this comment, so I'm putting down a link to imgur.
Item: Gliders
Race: All of them
Profession: All professions
Sex: both
Problem: I can't seem to dye my gliders anymore.

Item: Polysaturating Reverberating Infusion - Grey
Race: Sylvari
Profession: Doesn't matter
Gender: Doesn't matter
I play as Sylvari. I bought and supplied myself with Polysaturating Reverberating Infusion - Gray. Why isn't my character's hair cut like others? I have attached pictures for comparison. The human race character has Infusion outline his head and hair. Even if you turn on the display of the helmet, the infusion outlines only parts of the helmet, the hair remains without a stroke
Is my character's hair not hair? It spoils the general appearance of the character very much

Item : Raven Mantle
Race : Human
Gender : Male
Class : Guardian ( it occurs also on my Necromancer alt)
Description:
Raven Mantle seems to be affected by infusions ( checked with winters heart and snow diamond). Final effect is really weird, I asked few people and they see it the same way so it's not something corrupted with my files I think. Please repair it, I really wanna use infusions with this shoulders skin! Cheers.

Item: Draconic Wings Backpack and Glider combo gem store item
lider Combo gem store item
Race: Charr
Gender: female
Class: elementalist/ranger
Description: The glider it's ok, but the backpack is too disconected from the Charr back, this looks specialy bad when you unsheath your weapon.
Item: Heroic Dragonsblood Sword, Royal Ascalonian Sword, Vigil's Honor Sword, Norn Blade
Race: Norn, Human, Sylvari
Profession: Revenant
Gender: Male and Female
Issue: 1/4th or more of the blade clips through the ground when sheathed
Possible solution: Flagging these 1handed swords to use the same sheathed resting position as the Ebon Vanguard Sword would fix this.
Armor: Mask of the Queen
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Profession: Necromancer
My human female Necromancer's brows are clipping through Mask of the Queen. Moving the "Brow Thickness" as shown on the screenshot ( to the left end of the scale ) fixes the issue partially but not entirely.

Been catfished for the last 8 years, please give an uplift to the char's base model.
https://imgur.com/a/Y4wdlEa
Thank you for your attention
Thank you for your time.
Item: Runic Cape
Race: Doesn't matter
Profession: Doesn't matter
Gender: Doesn't matter
When zoomed out, the 4th dye channel on the Runic Cape appears red no matter what color it is dyed.

I have taken screenshots and posted them below as well.

item=barbaric coat
race=human(maybe norn too)
gender=female
prof=guardian
The bug is with the chest piece itself.When holding weapons that bend the waist exp sword,scepter,greatsword etc a hole can be seen between the cleavage.This hole only penetrates the body because if i wear a long cape i can see its colour instead of probably the ground or a wall.

Item: Koda's Warmth Enrichment

Race: Charr
Profession: Warrior
Gender: Male
All Pics here:
https://imgur.com/a/yF27sDm
Video for further proof:
From the video, it is evident that the Koda's Warmth effect is functional and visible on my character, albeit somewhat weaker than with other characters and not even slightly visible under heavier armor. This can be seen in the pictures as I took pictures with and without armor and even two different armor sets. It is quite frustrating as it is no small task to acquire this Enrichment. It has been mentioned that this effect was patched at some point in the past, though. This can be seen on the wiki page and on pictures which are also on the wiki page.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Koda's_Warmth_Enrichment
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Koda's_Warmth_Enrichment_big_model.jpg
So either my charr is bugged or the effect needs further revision in order to appear satisfactorily prominently on larger character models. And I'm not sure but I do not think that the effect is supposed to be this weak and even without any armor.
Hi guys!

You could post in the Sticky, 'Art Issues: Characters, Weapons, Armor' found in the Library above.
That's where the Devs check for issues.
Good luck.
Should we mention the Bladed trousers? my goodness....
I noticed that as well! The shape is also modified with a few normal armor pieces btw.
Good morning
Item: Jora's Outfit

Race : Human
Gender: Female
Class : Elementalist (Tempest, if it matters)
Problem: The outfit somehow modifies the character's breast shape, which looks really ugly tbh.
Hope you can fix this, would be much appreciated!
Item: Dradnought Raptor Skin
Race: Charr
Gender: Both
Profession: All
Problem: The tail clipps through the armor of the raptor... Since i paid 2000 gems for this skin and it is a charr related item it would be great if I could use it on my charrs without hurting my eyes. Please be so kind and fix it! Thank you.

Item: Ice Reaver Cape of Chrysocola

Race: Sylvari/Human
Gender: Female
Class: Necromancer/Reaper
Problem: Even after repairing the client my cape seems to be missing the texture for the cloth.
Item - Glint's Gaze Mask - In-game Item ( [&AgERCQEA] ) GW2 Wiki Link- http:https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Glint%27s_Gaze_Mask//
Race - Sylvari
Gender - Female
Class - Mesmer/Chronomancer/Mirage
Thankyou
Happy Holiday's
Arana

Entering Reaper Shroud with your weapon stowed will cause the Scythe to not show.
Item: Archon Helm
Race: Charr
Gender: Male
Class: Elementalist
Description: Clipping from the top of its head when using the emote /crossarms /laugh or any other emote that relates with moving its head as well as when riding a Raptor.
Item: Heavy Barbaric Coat
Race: Charr
Gender: Male
Class: Revenant
Description: Clipping from the lower back region when running or running and wielding a two-handed hammer, mace or axe.
Item: Heavy Reinforced Scale Legs
Race: Charr
Gender: Male
Class: Warrior
Description: Clipping from the right leg thigh when previewing it or wearing it in general.
