Soulbeast Smoke Assault Does about ~25% Less Damage Than Its' Tooltip Would Imply

So, the fourth auto attack in the main hand dagger auto attack sequence, which is called Deadly Delivery, will always list the same damage number in its' tooltip as that of Smoke Assault. This is because their individual strikes scale exactly the same. So therefore, each strike of Deadly Delivery and Smoke Assault should be doing roughly the same damage. But that is not the case. Here is a crappy gif to demonstrate.

This doesn't really look like much at first, but what happens in the gif is that I use Deadly Delivery a single time and it strikes the golem for 748 critical damage. I then use Smoke Assault, it strikes five times, each hit doing 327 non-crit, 589 critical, 330 non-crit, 580 critical, and 361 non-crit, for a total of 2187. There were also no damage modifiers active when I struck with Deadly Delivery to inflate its' damage compared to that of Smoke Assault.

Even though they both list the same damage number in their tooltip, there is indeed a damage difference between them.

Now, I understand that when you guys had buffed Takedown by 40% in the 2/06 patch, you also extended that buff to Smoke Assault without making mention of it. However, you didn't buff it to the point where it's damage matches the tooltip info, for if you had done that, then you would have buffed the skill by 100% and not 40%.

Two gifs showing the damage difference, one pre 2/06, one post 2/06, all on the same equipment.

Pre patch smoke assault did 1398. Post patch did 1941. 1398 + (1398 x .40) = 1957. Ah look, a 40% damage difference. But the skill wasn't short 40%, it was short 100%. And now it's just short ~25%. So we're getting there.

Looked into it, and it seems to be the same bug that affected rev sword at HoT release.

While the other merge skills are correctly inheriting the weapon strength of your current weapon, Smoke Assault is using the default weaponless value (690.5).

Most one-hand, main-hand weapons have 922.5 WS in PvP, so the missing 25% is a result of 690.5/922.5 = 0.7485

Fun side effect of this bug is that upgrading to an ascended weapon wont give you the 5% dmg increase for the skill.
