Do you think Amnoon should have been it's own instance?

I think that Crystal Oasis is a great map, but I have found that the map can feel very empty at times and figured that it is because many PCs hang around/afk in Amnoon and the Lily of Elon.I like the current setup in that there is no zone transition involved, but perhaps the rest of the map would feel more populated if the city had been in it's own (maybe bigger) instance. What do you think?

It would make absolutely no difference - players would just afk somewhere else like the Temple. The fact that Amnoom is seamless to the rest of the map makes it feel more a part of the World and the goings on the local area, what with escorts, attacks, races etc.

pof was made like the old guild wars maps and that is what makes it so much more fun with less people and more stuff with out the meta events and world bosses stuff

Umm, what? I didn't see anything mentioning "mega events", "boss fights" or "world bosses" in the original post.

As to the OP. I personally like the open feeling to it and I don't closing off the city would change anything.

Yeah I agree that the current setup is preferable to me personally and more immersive. I was mostly asking in a "what if"-mindset.

It is just that the rest of the map is noticeable empty at times unless dailies are involved.

The whole of PoF is noticably empty unless daily's (or a champ/griffon train) are involved. I'm not sure turning Amnoon into an instanced city would fix this, even if you bought in crafting stations.

Absolutely because of the lag which is weird considering we never saw that with the city in Fields of Ruin.
