Who will be staying Necro?

I see people wanting to switch, but I'll be staying Necro.

I know I will be playing through Path of Fire on my Necro, but it will take some much needed TLC (and I mean actual TLC, not taking half the story and working off that) to convince me to not swap to Ranger as my main.

It's a real shame I'm considering it, since I've been an ardent Necro main since the launch of Nightfall.

Well, I will do both. First playing through pof with my main necro for completing his story and after that I will switch to spellbreaker for any other kind of content.

I already switched mains after the August 8 nerf. I didn't even want to play Scourge, I wanted to keep my Reaper but I just miss the old Vital Persistence and Speed of Shadows traits... I tried to get used to the new ones but nope. I always had Engi as a secondary main and she's my only main now.

I'll play my Ele heavily, but I plan to use my 80 boost on a shiny new Guardian that will be my new #2. There is no "purity of purpose" with Necro right now. Too many skills, traits, and specializations have conflicting or unfocused effects. Unless something changes, my Necro will be strictly a bench play, maybe focused on WvW.

I will be happily sticking with my power reaper.

I will try to stay Necro, and will try to make scourge work, even though I believe it's gonna be painful, bad, and boring a playstyle.

But I might be wrong, and the only way to find out is to try. Got my torment runes, my smoldering sigils, my malice, my torch, all ready.

Definetly switching to guardian or to other less depressed class to play unlike necromancer.

Power Reaper forever, beating that dead horse into the grave and beyond when I make that dead horse my mount!

Well...i got a lot of ascended boxes this pvp season so i can actually deck out a deadeye the moment the patch drops in ascended stuff lol.

Necros are supposed to be hard to kill.Although some actual defense would be nice to have....

Staying Necro. No reason to change. Until content comes out that is uncompleteable as a necro, I'm happy.

Go and switch if you want to, none of the real Necromancers cares. ;)

I love reaper in PvE and core necro in spvp. I just love the damn profession.That being said to raid i'll probably take the renegade, and as you might've guessed by first sentence - there's not much love in me for scourge.

I think i'll just have dual mains - revenant and necro on equal terms.

Necro was my first char in gw2 ever. My Nornlady has every map on 100% and does everything first. Surely i will play her in PoF as first char. Also i will stay necro for Events/Open World/soloing things, hopefully the new elite add some more classdepth to feels a little bit more rewarding by playing it. But for any kind of groupcontent i will use my mesmer or guard. Have had hopes i can play necro in ervery gamemmode on a competitive level but sadly it seems this won't be work also with PoF.

Occasionally I hop on another profession but I'll stay Necro main.

Even made a 6th necro called Burny Sanders so have to commit.

you are 5 year late guys I switched 4 years ago when I realized this class cant be properly balanced and will always be pulling the shorter end of rope

At least for Open World and unranked.

I usually swap between multiple depending on what I'm necro however is what I would class as my main, specially for pve. However recently I've been using my DH in fractals and really enjoying it.

I was fully hyped about continuing the story with my necro but after these recent changes I really ain't feeling the hype anymore. The more I read about Firebrand the more that hype returns.

Unfortunately I think I'm done with necro until anet stop shitting all over it.

Must be kinda masochistic to stay with it but I like this class too much to fully swap. Luckely I like playing ele as well and I get the feeling that I'll use it a lot more this time.

My necro will always be my main, I play for the theme/feel > whatever the meta may be.

I have alts to meta with; they're my mules, my robots, they do my biding, I do not love them, I barely even like them. They have no character or personal touch; they are whatever the community forces them to be. I change their wardrobe to be the most basic, fugly stuff there is, because that's all they, the community & anet deserve. I delete them from existence with glee when meta changes & I replace them as easy as I change my socks.

Of course, I keep any gear they may have had as it is infinitely more valuable than the meat sack that wore it.

My necro main is everything they are not: full of life, character & personality. He does the story, he's the hero of this RPG.
