Trading Post not working ~ net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

For the past 2 days I cannot access trading post or buy gems, I keep getting a message net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERRORI have deleted cache, repaired client, relogged multiple times it's not working please help me, thankyou.

Did you get it fixed by itself? Because I'm having the same problem and it's not going away for now.

You can try clearing the GW2 cache; instructions found in the Knowledge Base accessed via the 'Support' link above/below and 'Search - Troubleshoot Trading Post'.

The SSL error is caused when the trading post fails to make a secure connection. The recent problem is that the domains used by GW2 were flagged as malicious, so some DNS providers and security software are blocking access to them, which causes the SSL error since it's not the real page. If this is happening to you, the below links should show a warning page or something else, rather than the simple text file listing the team members. You should be able to determine what is causing it based on what is shown - it's either your DNS or security software.

Same problem here.What I've done so far:

• Deleted the cache folder
• Tried the three txt-files with no error from Healix.5819 post
• Started gw2.exe as administrator

Still getting the error, but not so often on the trading post, more on the diamond store and currency exchange :(

Can you try running the following command in command line please:nslookup https://tradingpost-dfw-live.ncplatform.net | clip

What does it do? nslookup checks for the IP address of the URL https://tradingpost-dfw-live.ncplatform.net but instead of ping it shows you also the DNS server, which is used. | clip instantly copies the results of this command into your clipboard, so you can paste it right away.

That is a valid result, but the URL GW2 uses varies by country, so there's no guarantee that -dfw- is what it's using.

GW2 uses CoherentUI_Host.exe to show the website in-game, so ensure that no security software is blocking it. It can be found under the bin folders in your GW2 folder, and possibly also under the gw2cache folders in the %temp% folder. If you want to find out which URL GW2 is actually using, you'll need to use a DNS sniffer, or you can use Fiddler to act as a proxy. Alternatively, simply flush your DNS (cmd.exe > ipconfig /flushdns) to ensure it's not outdated, and if that doesn't help, try Google's DNS. If you want the gem store variant of those URLs, simply replace tradingpost with gemstore.

Do you have any kind of firewall active on your computer? Eventually some internet security tries to check the connection and breaks open the SSL connection, thus canceling the connection from the GW client (this is just an assumption). You could try to TEMPORARILY deactivate any such program and try to see, if that creates the problem.

I uninstalled AVAST, and added gw2 client to my "allowed" list of programs. It works fine now.
