Does the Static build play better without EG? Almost every Engineer I see takes EG as a utility.

For the static build, if you're not taking elixir gun, is HGH worth it over PoP? Obviously it's a duration increase and recharge reduction to elixir S.

Rifle Turret and Photon Wall are pretty mandatory for the SD build to keep that high burst potential. Since EG now removes less conditions post patch, you're better off taking a skill like Elixier S or Rocket Boots, which helps you to avoid taking the condi burst in the first place or lets you catch a break if you took one. Rifle has a really strong Autoattack, so you don't need the range pressure of EG, and the Photon mode offers huge amounts of cleave so you don't really need EG#4 that much.

I prefer HGH over PoP, since condi remove is pretty limited and leaving forge mode already converts condis into boons without PoP. You also have Elixier B, Elixier C and Elixier S as passive traits which all benefit from HGH, as well as the active Elixier S and Toss Elixier S. So PoP is not really worth it in that build imo.
