Broadly speaking the top two dye channels cover the majority of the mount, the bottom right one is the animated glowing parts and the lightning effect and the bottom left is an accent colour.I'm finding them surprisingly difficult to dye considering I liked a lot of other peoples dye jobs, but I think that's mainly because I'm having trouble choosing between very bright, somewhat clashing colours (like Blacklight and Electro Blue) or something more toned down.One thing I've found is it helps to be open-minded with dyes. The mounts make a lot of dyes very vivid - dark colours are even darker than usual and light colours are brighter, so I'm finding myself going for colours I don't often use much because they tend to look too washed out on armour.
