Bit barebones as a concept, especially when compared to the already existing Berserker who fills a similar role as a Condition Damage ESpec for Warrior (Which also focuses heavily on being either pure Condi, Hybrid or Tanky if looking at Traits and Specialization). Executions just feel like replacement Bursts (And in some cases look just like improved Bursts) which is something Berserker did in a more interesting way with Berserk mode and Primal Bursts.

Also, traits that Increase X attribute depending on Y all follow the same conversion rate, even if the trait has secondary effects on top of the conversion:

  • if an Adept trait, converts 7% of X into Y
  • if a Master trait, converts 10% of X into Y
  • if a Grandmaster trait, converts 13% of X into YIn the case of double Attribute conversion, it takes 5% from both converted traits regardless of Adept or Master levels (Currently only 2 examples of this).

Trait 7 is basically a Copy-paste of Necromancer's Parasitic Contagion with an additional +5% added on top of it. The Healing Skill is pretty much identical to Spellbreaker's Natural Healing, just much weaker.

As a whole, I feel this concept will just fall flat against Berserker in every area, especially with the new Utility Skills requiring sacrifice. Corruptions work on Necromancer because of the uniform "sacrifice" they come with (Self Conditions) and because Necromancer has plenty of skills and traits that benefit from such an arrangement (Transfers, consumption or just plain buffs).

If I were to suggest something, I'd suggest the following:

  • Dedicate this ESpec to be Anti-Condition (But make sure to make it distinct from Revenant's Mallyx builds) to differentiate them from Berserker (Full-throttle Damage or Direct Damage sustain) and Spellbreaker (Anti-Boons). Give them a traitline that punishes enemies who rely on Conditions to take them down and give them a few skills that utilize conditions on themselves.
  • Might wanna tone down the "Corrupt your soul and use dark arts" angle, because that's preeeeetty much the flavor of a Revenant channeling Mallyx (Draws conditions from allies to themselves, empowers through misery, literally becomes possessed by a demon with their elite etc) and focus instead on other aspects, such as the use of forbidden weapons or something like that.
  • Berserker focused heavily on Burning and Bleeding, so in terms of Damage this spec will never be able to compete with that which kinda pushes them out of being a competative PvE Spec. This build has Torment and Confusion, which are primarily geared towards PvP. Adding Poison to the mix would make them more solid choices for PvP.

That's not true.Look at:Deadly strength: 7% or 14%, but a master trait;Blood reaction: 7% AND 14%, but a master trait; And so one. That's not a rule, and not all traits follow that principle.

True, of sorts. So? Spellbreaker's heal have a standard value which doesn't change based on boons/conditions consumed. This one does. While both consume conditions and boons, only this one grows in healing power per condition/boon consumed, so it doesn't work like spellbreaker's healing. So, they are similar, but not identical.

Why? Berserker doesn't have any traits/weapon options to go as hybrid condition and power build. Berserker is mainly focused on rapid burst and fails at prolonged fights. Berserker doesn't have as much condition damage and condition array as this one. I think my elite outshines berserker at every step of the way, except maybe berserker is better for power burst builds.

But spellbreaker is already anti-condition spec. Spellbreaker is anti-everything spec, so all defensive elites became impossible for a warrior since spellbreaker was created.

Yeah, but that's not exclusive to revenant. But, forbidden weapon angle sounds really nice. It sounds so nice, that maybe alternative elite could be built based on that.

Well, to be factual, berserker does not focus on bleeding. Not a single trait increase bleeding damage and not a single primal burst inflict bleeding. Also, keep in mid that this elite don't necessary have to go full condition build for pve. You could go with axe, rifle, hammer or greatsword for example. Also, longbow execute still inflict burning. I personally think this elite would be almost as good as berserker in pve damage scene. But, without actually testing we can't be sure, so there is really no point to argue about it.Poison? How would that fit?

@Star.8401 said:Berserker is highest sustain damage spec for a Warrior in raids. The condition damage is great. Don't really see the point of another condition spec that wont be as strong as berserker.

And i don't see the points of doing raids in this game. So, is that an argument? Nope. Neither your comment about berserker nor my comment about raids are legit arguments.

Slightly aggressive response, when introducing an elite spec you have to consider how it’s going to perform in all areas of the game because even if you don’t like one area there are players that do. You’re missing my point as well. Berserkers good sustain damage via conditions is relevant when one of you’re arguments for this spec is that “Berserker is only burst and fails at prolonged fights” which is not the case.Another one of your points is that warrior doesn’t have bleeds which also isn’t the case. Mainhand sword and the arms traitline promote bleeding damage and condi damage. The idea of a single traitline focused around hybriding between condi and power damage is intriguing but would be a nightmare to balance and in the end not as effective as going full power or full condi due to how stats work.

Well, if you didn't like an analogy to your argument, then maybe your original argument wasn't that good?

Even if you don't like this suggestion, maybe there are players who would.

Also, what kind of condition pressure does berserker have? Primal Burst skills are, well, burst skills.

And where did i said warrior doesn't have bleeds? Quote me on that.

Do you play warrior? Honest question. Sword and longbow primal bursts are the meta for berserkers condi spec because of burn damage that they do.And you’re not addressing my points with your “analogy” or by saying my “argument” is a weak one. I’m simply pointing out to you that warrior has a good condi spec in Berserker and that your points for supporting this build; that berserker is only burst and not sustain, are just not true.A pattern across all of your elite spec ideas is that you are not okay with criticism or discussion on your builds. When someone refuted what you’re saying or has a counter point or idea you immediately become overly defensive and aggressive, attacking the person instead of addressing their points or ideas with regard to your own. No matter how much effort you put into these you’ve gotta be prepared for people to find holes, or point out where they think there are mistakes or idea they disagree with.To bring all of this back on topic, I’ll restate what I said earlier and hopefully you can refute or address my main points;

  1. Berserker has good sustain damage via bleeding and burns
  2. A singly traitline focuses on hybriding between power and condi damage would be a nightmare to balance and in the end not as effective as going full condi or full power due to how stats work on gear.

Those are my points, what are your ideas on those?

I would be interested to know how much experience you have playing warrior yourself and if it is a decent chunk, which content you actually play. You give off the feeling that the majority of your knowledge of this class comes from anecdotes you heard second hand.

That's irrelevant and i done +40 matches as a warrior while crafting this suggestion.

Well then, you have a lot of talking to do with other warriors, because when i mentioned that berserker god a buff via buff of sword skills, everyone claimed that no berseker ever use a sword.

Excuse me? What warrior(s) did you speak to that said "no berserker ever" uses sword? Sword is literally the meta for berserker. That right there proves that you are making a false claim. Have you even looked up the berserker build? Check QT, SC, or even MetaBattle; berserker uses a viper sword for optimal damage.

I see you running around the forums posting elites, 22 suggestions so far, for different professions and in every case when someone disagrees with you, you get offended and lash out. If you are not ready for some negative feedback then stop posting. Feedback both negative and positive comes with internet posting.

Seriously, 22 suggestions for only 5 professions: warrior, necromancer, mesmer, thief, and guardian? What is your end goal here?

Pretty much what I expected then. Good luck with your many suggestions.

You posted two quotes of people saying that sword is bad.....because that sums up the entire warrior community. I highly suggest you start playing warrior more in all aspects of the game to see what builds and weapons are used where. It would help you to avoid mistakes in your assumptions such as "Berserkers only good at burst, and has nosustain" when its the opposite, and the claim that "no warrior uses sword" when its literally the meta weapon for two separate condi warrior builds, and a decent weapon for WvW. Your Espec theories would probably be taken more seriously.

Ok then. Then please, by all means, sum up entire warrior community. I will wait.

@Star.8401 said:I highly suggest you start playing warrior more in all aspects of the game to see what builds and weapons are used where.

And i highly suggest you to sum up entire warrior community. Because, as we currently know no berserker use sword, at least that is what warrior players said. Or are they not true scotsmen?

Assumptions? Lets see:Me: have quotes of several warriors saying sword is garbageYou: random person who ignores those two and claim that i should play warrior more often

So, i am sorry to announce it, but your opinion is invalid. Better luck next time.

P.S. how often are you planning to make off-topic comments here? None of your comments have anything to do with this elite.
