Players have shared a number of terrific suggestions for Guild Wars 2 Gem Store items. From outfits that hark back to old Tyria to miniatures that warm the heart, from dye sets that personalize your look to new gliders that make a statement, player ideas have help us expand our Gem Store to include a wide variety of wonderful items.
If you have a suggestion – or several! – that you’d like to share with the development team about potential Gem Store items, please post them in this continuing thread.
Thanks for your input!

I suggested this in the old forums:
Memory of Lion's Arch Pass: Takes you back to Lion's Arch before Scarlet destroyed it. Since it has the Forge, all crafting stations, etc. it would be a perfect pass.
The Assassin of Rata Sum
Proud Member of Wards of the Mists [WARD]
Ice themed mining and harvesting tool to go with the Frost Wasp Logging Tool.
Maybe I dunno, ice spiders dropping from ice webs onto the mining node and freezing it to shatter it, and ice rabbits running into the harvest node to freeze it and your character does a foot stomp to shatter it?
Also what would be a good idea is to update all the existing tools to be the same efficiency as the more recent ones like the unbound magic tools - not in speed but in how much they can gather in one strike. We all know the unbound magic tools can gather 4 per hit for pick and axe, and 3 per hit for the sickle, while almost all the other tools for the other sets only allow 3 per hit for pick and axe, and 1 per hit for the sickle. So if something was done about that, it would make your former old collection of tools more worthwhile to use alongside the unbound magic ones.
Other gemstore skins... how about some canthan themed weapon skins for a change? Shiro's swords for example for sword and dagger, but let dagger variant be held like in GW1 instead of GW2 backhand style.
I would love to see different textures for the popular scarf. Maybe one with hearts or dots or glowing runes.
I would like to see the flying nimbus cloud as a glider skin ideally with 1 dye channel
Hmm, tricky. It' easy enough to think of things that would be useful - but the whole point is that anything available solely from the Gemstore should not be capable of giving an advantage to a player with more RL cash. Personally, I don't want to end up with a game where money talks.
Given that, my two suggestions would both be for the much-ignored (apart from daily harvesting) home instance:
- furnishing / fluff items. There's a great need (in my view...) for at least some placeable basic furniture in the home. Beds, tables, chairs, etc.
- a large map/globe of Tyria. It could be updated as new Zones are added, and maybe even show which zones you've explored fully.
would like to see wings that could be dyed 2 or maybe 3 color schemes
I would love to see a Guild Tab booster, increasing the numbers of guild you can join.
Unicorn mount skin. Rainbows and everything. Extra points if it has cool Dreamer-like sounds.
I'll revive this from the old forums: A sittable chair "toy." Just like other toys that act like bundles and replace your skills, this would generate a chair suited to your race, with you sitting in it. The skills could be various poses for sitting (crossed legs, leaning back, leaning forward intently, gesturing as if talking, etc). You would not be able to travel while using it (though hmm, a wheel chair option could be interesting later on).
Another bundle idea I've floated a few times: Champagne to toast the new year. Have it act like the rose bouquet bundle only with champagne bottle and glass themed actions.
A Gear Loadout/build slot/s, would save us alot of regear/respec clicks and be a good way to sell somthing really useful for the community!
Some nice UI flavour for it with the possibility of saving/storing the gear/weaps inside each, i know its not little to ask but community would really love it!
Let's not forget the pose of "leaning back, pulling a chain, and having water fall on you"
With the new Unidentified gear coming in PoF, I would hope that an Infinite ID kit is in the works so that we won't be forced to do a heart every time we want to ID some items. But incase it's not just wanted to let you know I'm ready to buy as soon as it's available.
Would also love to see a return of an updated Bone Dragon Staff from Guild Wars 1. As much as I like the current legendary staffs in GW2 I always felt this would have made an incredible Legendary in GW2 with glowing eyes and a beating heart in the rib cage. But since we already have 2 Staffs I would love to see it return as a gemshop item.
A pass book that allows you to put all your passes into 1 book similar to how we have a book that allows us to buy the pages that teleport us to the living story zones. Many of us have recently received the Heart of Elon pass for prepurchasing the game. But many of us already had other passes like the Lava Lounge, Airship Pass, etc. It would be nice to combine them all into 1 item slot and be given the choice as to which pass area we want to go to.
Lastly it has been said many times in the past but last we heard it was not being developed officially, a Keychain would be something that so many of us would happily dole out cash for as a true quality of life improvement. While the shared inv slots are a decent stop gap solution, it won't work forever unless u plan on continuing to up the max qty of slots available. I have maxed out the slots already and with POF so close I find myself in a bind as to what to drop to make room for the new key mechanic and Heart of Elon pass as well as any other new potential items u may release that we don't know about yet. Please put this on the official list of things to make in the future and watch the gems flow in. I know everyone I talk to would happily buy it the day it finally is made available.
Already said it before. Every race's child version as mini (real size). Imagine bringing your cub or salad with you to show him the wilderness and how to survive in Tyria.
The Lions arch Exterminator Rifle/Karka Slaying Rifle/ Turl Sharptooth's Rifle. Many people want it.
You stand to benefit more from making friends than you do making enemies.
Witch's broom glider, of course.
I'd love to see the elite kurzick necromancer armor skin appear as a Light armor skin option.
Melandru Outfit.
Mini Me. A mini that is your current characters model. Not sure if it could include you current weapon, but if it can that would be cool.
Please bring back the Strider's armor for some days
Pretty please?
One of the best chest pieces for leather class and I missed it because I did not pay attention. I completely missed that it was not an outfit but armor parts...
Please bring it back
I would love to see more Sylvari themed anything! Outfits, gliders, humane Sylvari gathering devices. Anything that incorporates the Sylvari theme of clothing and armor being an extension of themselves.
I'd like this. I'd also like to see a mini of my other toons, or of a guildie.
Can we please have a scepter that looks like Mary Poppins's folded umbrella? Some more nice hats with wigs when we're at it as well. Pretty please!
Would be cool to see The Juggernaut #2 skill on guard with a splash effect of the quicksilver on impact instead of that rainbow splash that looks like The Bifrost aura.
More armor skins, less outfits. Some of us love Fashion Wars and would like to mix and match skins instead of being stuck with an entire outfit.
Some suggestions:
Luxon Elite Elementalist - Light
Elite Sunspear Monk - could be Light or Medium
Elite Kurzick Warrior - Heavy
Just sayin'
I dont know how possible this is technically but Prismatic Dyes would be completely awesome. Dyes that are actually a gradient of a couple of different hues. or maybe a legendary dye that is fully prismatic sporting a rainbow.
I'd like a Minor Sigil eater. Like the candy corn gobbler. Maybe instead of the single player buff like the candy corn gobbler it gives off party buffs.. ooo party buffs.. might be a reason for people to be in a party. That way if you don't have one you can still get the benefit, while promoting socializing.
I'm currently hooked on one particular glider concept, after my brother enlightened me as to the Shadow Raven Tonic working whilst gliding; I want a glider skin which 'transforms' the user into a swarm of bats, akin to Bottle of Batwing Brew.
I.e. Jump off a great height looking normal > discrete dark magic 'burst' animation entering/exiting bat swarm form > gliding merrily along as a swarm of bats.
I know this will seemingly impede precision flying, but if people can adapt to steering a magic carpet or meteor I'm sure it wouldn't take long to get used to.
BUILD TEMPLATES! 400 Gems Each! BUILD TEMPLATES! 400 Gems Each! BUILD TEMPLATES! 400 Gems Each! Treat them like the extra character bag slots... just put some limit per character (5?) and make money yo! Throws money in the air!
They call me "Mr. Pres." -- https://gw2efficiency.com/account/characters/Chickenooble.5014
Any armor, weapons or toys that are not human-themed! Sylvari in particular look so much better in gear that is designed for them. But some nice norn-themed things with fur and knotwork ornaments would also be great, and something for the charr of course because they're famously hard to find gear for.
Actual armor skins over outfits, for all the reasons that have been stated many times.
Non-gendered armor. Let me wear the exact same, beautifully themed, practical and/or impressive gear that men get to wear. No skirts, heels, underwear, b-plates, b-windows or other "strategic" naked skin.
I once saw someone half-jokingly suggest a cat finisher for PvP, which each time randomly selects from any feline model ... and an Aurene wearing cat ears. That'd be hilarious, and I don't even do PvP.
Haha a unicorn mount skin before a horse mount skin
Infinite Transmutation Charge! (That also comes with a gobbler for transmutation charges earned through normal gameplay).
A booster holder would be nice to put all the boosts in
Black Lion Chest Drop - Permanent Repair Kit. Rarity inline with Permanent items like Hair Styling and Bank Access.
Also another 8 Shared inventory slots over current max to account for potential new zone currencies.
Envy the Madman his musing when Death comes to make fools of us all.
De Mortuis Nil Nisi Bonum.
TheGrimm PoTBS/GW1/WAR/Rift/GW2/MWO/ESO/WoT/WoW/D2/HoTS/CU/AoC
Please bring back Foefire mantle and wraps.
Maybe a one off or a full black lion set: Inquest Universal Weapon(s) - Such as a staff stored looks like a blocky stick exactly the size of the grips for characters, when weilded the ends form a holagraphic shape(s) diffrent based on the class holding it(elementalist has element symbols floating, thief the ends become blades, druid a branch, revenant have blunted ends, guardian a book).
Googly Eye cannon! Toy- Lets players shoot players and inanimate objects/geometry with momentary googly eyes.
Or maybe a plaid dye set? (not sure if a texture can go into a dye channel)
A set of the Aviator shades with yellow or dye-able lenses?
Since this is an item that you can buy on the gemstore, it would fit in the row of permanent contracts, available in black lion chests.
Jeans. Simple... jeans.
with NO additions to it like.. hanging potions and stuff.. just plain jeans.
Mesmerizing
Have the ability to dye weapons. Maybe introduce new legendary weapons that have dye channels.
Infinite black lion salvage kit, please. I would love to be able to open up 15+ slots in my bank tabs ;-;
Ember Wandertooth(SB), Lucina Fallenflame(Weaver), Kianda Redpaw(Guardian), Kingslayer, Light in the Dark.
Why Guild Wars is called Guild Wars
Honestly im not sure why that isnt a feature upcoming in PoF, they can easily sell more build slots if they gave everyone 2 or 3. it's a pain in the kitten to swap out all my normal trinket and stat/rune swap my legendary stuff. would save me loads of time if i could swap to a preset build at the click of a button.
and now for my suggestion, home instance bookshelf for all the little lore books you pick up (got a bank tab full of them), mystic coin slot home instance node (get 1-3 coins a day), and a giant spoon hammer skin
A cape glider would be fun, especially since your character is already somewhat doing the Superman pose while gliding anyway! Also a bloodstone refinery that gives you one random item for 500 bloodstone dust once per day.
I still would like to see a keychain for like the 500 different keys that are sitting in my inventory. Also, it should be account wide so that you can just let it sit in a shared inventory slot for all characters to use.
Indeed, would be a great thing for everybody and pvp has kind of a subsystem similar to it already althou would need some more work ofc.
Love the Bookshelf idea and the coins node \o/
They already have this. It's called an Endless Repair Contract (or an Endless Repair Canister if you use the contract).
How about a Choya mount skin?
I like playing my Charr Engineer, but I miss playing my Dervish from GW1. Please make a scythe my Engineer can use. I'd pay lots of $$$ if you can make this happen.
Can you bring back Flamekissed/Flamewalker/Flamewrath armor skins again?
They're fire-themed and good for Fashion Wars.
I like how now with thumbs up people can show they support without making another post... which I guess I just did... uhhh I suggest more dragon wings. Shatterer, Claw of J, Shadow of the dragon, Aestus/Ignis, Undeadwyvern, etc
HARRY! DIDYA PUT YER NAME IN DA GOBLET OF FIYAH?!
Something to speed up home instance harvesting, which takes longer with each new node added to the game. Maybe some Asura robot you can buy to harvest nodes for you and mail to you once per day? I know I would be more willing to add to my home instance if it was quicker to harvest.
Animated "effect" dyes. By that I mean dyes that apply different animated visual effects to your armor, to the specific dye channels. The one that leaps to mind first and foremost is a "cosmic" dye that adds the blue starry night effect from the HoT legendary axe to your armor. These could be account bound "exclusive" dyes that are bought individually, instead of coming in a bundle or RNG based pack. Or, if RNG is a must, add them one at a time (and only one specific one available at a time) to Black Lion chests as a rare drop, possibly around holiday events that suit their theme.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!
Add this Gw1 set, ANCIENT ARMOR
https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Assassin_Ancient_armor
And just generally add some of the old GW1 Prestige armor sets
