Hey Anet, why do I still take a loss in a placement when my teammate is d/c for the first 3 mins?

This happened twice last season and now once in 2 games this season. I know you guys will never do anything about leavers, afkers, d/cers, etc., but at least throw the rest of us a bone.

I thought games didnt count if there is a DC for longer than 90 seconds. Is it different for placements?

they've said before that it's not really a loss, just that it it's a poorly-worded display. It doesn't actually affect your placements, except that you only get 9 placements instead of 10 if you lose one thanks to an afk; it's like it never happened, basically.

That explains why I wentt 7-3 and ended up 50 points lower than where I finished last season. Neat.

Happened to me last season as well. Definitely counted against me. Had a DC before the match even started, and they never came. Even counting the DC's I got 7/10 wins. Could have been better though as one of the matches we almost won 4v5... They seem to not care.
